Showcasing expressive natural materials, walnut open nightstand by Studio ANANSI is designed with an atelier aesthetic. Each nightstand begins with a large block of translucent Turkish onyx that is selected by hand for its cream and honey tones to complement the warmth of the walnut-stained wood. In a process that can take over two weeks, the rare stone is then slowly carved with precision-cut radius corners to match the minimalist silhouette. Hand-polishing highlights the stone's active veining, giving the piece a sense of movement captured in time. Designed to be layered with the other pieces in the Rio collection to bring a bespoke look to modern interiors. CB2 exclusive.
