Founding ERA Industries in 1956, Los Angeles-based Evelyn Ackerman and her husband Jerome played a central role in shaping the California midcentury modern movement. By 1959, Evelyn's hand-hooked wall hangings became some of their most popular designs, selling in department stores like Bloomingdale's and Macy's. Presented in collaboration with Ackerman Modern, the pieces in this collection recreate the couple's iconic midcentury designs using original drawings and archival photographs.
