Natural capiz shell pendant by Copenhagen-based designer Aurélien Barbry is inspired by the stepped ziggurats of Mesopotamia. Suspended from hammered brass, semi-translucent capiz shell panels are linked together with small aged brass rings, casting a warm glow with romantic intrigue. The warm, unlacquered brass is aged by hand in a multistep process to bring out the metal's rich tonal highs and lows. The living finish will continue to deepen and grow richer over time.
