Our CB2 Berkeley location serves a diverse neighborhood of individuals with daring, eclectic, and totally unique styles. Our guests range in age from teens and college students to retired folks in their 80s, all coalescing into a community connected by their love of design and their dedication to the unconventional. Stop by our dog-friendly store any day of the week—our liveliest times are Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

Because we are affiliated with the Fourth Street Shopping District—an outdoor mall extending about three blocks down Fourth—we take special pride in our inspirational window displays. And our Berkeley customers love them. They also appreciate shopping in our single-floor store layout which features simple merchandising of our furniture, decor, dining essentials and other housewares. Be sure to check out some of our locals’ favorites, such as the Lawndale leather daybed, Savile leather sofa and Dylan dining tables.

If you visit us in store and can’t find what you’re looking for, ask any associate on the floor. We’re happy to help, whether it’s finding the products on the floor or in the storeroom, or ordering furniture in a specific color or finish from our full online selection. Associates are equipped with iPads and can place an order with you on the spot. Looking for more information on our collection? Where Are We? Location & Parking

CB2 Berkeley is located on Fourth St. between Virginia and Delaware. Our store is conveniently situated just a couple of blocks off the Eastshore Freeway (I-80). This thoroughfare takes guests arriving by car between two of Berkeley’s biggest neighboring cities, Oakland and San Francisco. We share our store building with California Closets, another retailer affiliated with the Fourth Street Shops. Cb2 Berkeley is conveniently close to our Crate and Barrel family as well—they are located just half a block down the street.

Our proximity to the other Fourth St. shops makes it easy for guests to plan a full day of shopping, sightseeing and fun in the district. After browsing modern furniture and housewares with us, pop over to our neighbors—boutique shops such as Bryn Walker and Outback in the Temple of Venus, and major retailers including bareMinerals and Apple. Has shopping left you parched? Head across the street to Artís Coffee for a brew or a juice. Morning shoppers can swing by Bette’s Oceanview Diner for a classic American breakfast, and midday and evening guests can eat around the world: in the Mediterranean at Zut!, in Japan at Iyasare and in Mexico at Tacubaya. Tourists and locals alike, don’t forget to take in the sights! CB2 Berkeley is just over a mile from the scenic Berkeley Marina.

We encourage those who drive to the store to use the free parking lot adjacent to the store for easiest access. If the lot is full, there is plenty of street parking available in the area. Arriving via SF Bay public transit? Exit the 51B bus at University Ave. and 4th St. Exit the 80 or 81 bus at Hearst Ave. and 5th St.

Customers can pick up small and large furniture and decor orders at the back door of the building.

What Can We Do for You? Services and Events

CB2 Berkeley is proud to offer our intrepid adventurers in home design the opportunity to partake in our Custom Upholstery Program. Trained associates stand at the ready to work one-on-one with guests in creating totally custom headboards, sofas and chairs. Your one-of-a-kind, only-in-your-dreams piece of furniture is just a frame, fabric and finish choice away.

We love our Berkeley community and want to be a hub for neighborhood events, meetups and more. In the past we’ve hosted flower arranging tutorials, wine and cheese tastings and special launch parties for new collaborations and product releases.
