A statement piece in minimalist hues, "Sonora" was inspired by the visualization of sounds and frequencies. "I wanted the artwork to have the rippling effect of a surge of sound passing through an electrical storm," says artist Patrick St. Germain. A pale acrylic background is enlivened by compressed and natural charcoal details that mix in lively interplay.
Patrick St. Germain is a Montreal-based artist who works mostly with acrylic paint, resin, metallics and pastels. He describes his style of art as primarily abstract, textural and complex. "I love to explore the grandeur of nature by weaving abstraction and landscape into my own personal visual language."
