'70s California comes to abstract life in "Sierra Sunrise" by artist Patrick St. Germain. Inspired by photography of the time, Germain translates soft, hazy lens flares into a watercolor piece that calls to mind a dreamier decade.

PATRICK ST. GERMAIN. Montreal-based artist who works mostly with acrylic paint, resin, metallics and pastels. He describes his style of art as primarily abstract, textural and complex. "I love to explore the grandeur of nature by weaving abstraction and landscape into my own personal visual language."
