Inspired by primitive symbols and ancient sculptures, "Mars Counting" is a balanced composition with subtle tonal shifts. A combination of black gesso, acrylic paint and gel mediums was used to create this piece. Reproduced here using the artist's original techniques. Hangs in two orientations.
Patrick St. Germain is a Montreal-based artist who works mostly with acrylic paint, resin, metallics and pastels. He describes his style of art as primarily abstract, textural and complex. "I love to explore the grandeur of nature by weaving abstraction and landscape into my own personal visual language."
