A study in subtleties, Patrick St. Germain's "Lemaire" is inspired by neo-expressionism. The artist uses a minimalist palette, applying layers of textured paper and acrylic paint across the canvas to create a textured field. "Completely immersed in texture, the composition slowly reveals itself," St. Germain explains.
Patrick St. Germain is a Montreal-based artist who works mostly with acrylic paint, resin, metallics and pastels. He describes his style of art as primarily abstract, textural and complex. "I love to explore the grandeur of nature by weaving abstraction and landscape into my own personal visual language."
