Working on the beaches of Capri, artist Kristen Giorgi created "La Fontalina in the Nude" with a keen attention to shape, curve and color. The figurative work is inspired by the female form, which Giorgi sees as "a collection of shapes that are composed in a complex yet comprehensive way. Every curve and turn of line is mysterious and exciting." Originally created on custom-designed linen canvas. Reproduced here as a giclée print.
Kristen Giorgi is an Atlanta-based artist embracing both her fashion background and veneration for 1960s color field stain-painters. The sense of form and color saturation results in figurative and abstract works that are "edgy and soft, exuberant and reflective—a mirror of my personal style and philosophy."
