Ryan Pfluger's "Duality" is a way of creating safe spaces of spontaneity and creativity. This piece is part of a body of work in which the artist photographed queer friends and strangers on joyful excursions. Original photo reproduced here on luster photo paper.
Captivated by nostalgia, Ryan Pfluger is a photographer and artist whose work often recreates memories, memorializes objects, and explores how sexuality and gender influence image making. Exploring what portraiture means presently in our culture, his photographs deal with the subtlety of body posture and the role of self-portraiture. Ryan is based in Los Angeles.
