goop features a unique silhouette with a raised edge, making it the perfect canvas for beautiful food. Inspired by artisanal ceramics found in Provence, the bowl is dipped in a thin black engobe for a greater depth of color. Each plate is fired again with a glossy white glaze, which allows the black engobe to show through—a difficult process that gives the finish a rich, hazy undertone.
