Celebrating the launch of our exciting new partnership with Havenly and Domino.

Decorating a room, much less an entire home or apartment, doesn’t always come easy. Finding the time, money, and patience to pull it all together isn’t for the faint of heart—and then there’s the whole “what’s my style” element to figure out. That’s why (among many reasons) we look to resources like Havenly, the online interior designer service, and Domino magazine for inspiration and collaboration. We recently partnered with the two powerhouses on a digital program that makes the whole process accessible and inspiring for our customers. We’re calling it Studio CB2, a personalized room design service that helps people discover their style with a help of pros. The designers will help you hone in on your “look” and suggest products from sources like CB2 that bring it to life. All you have to do is order what you want from the final design and it’ll get delivered right to your doorstep.

To celebrate the program’s launch, we’re hosting a trend workshop on the third Tuesday of every month in our New York Soho store. For the first event, we brought together special guests Domino CEO Nathan Coyle, CB2 VP of Marketing Alicia Waters, and Havenly Founder Emily Motayed, as well as Athena Calderone of Eyeswoon. Audience members got to make their own terrariums and sip on cocktails while they heard presentations from Athena and Domino Editor-in-Chief Jessica Room. The ladies presented their favorite trends of the moment—marble, mixed metals, and layering cozy textiles—while Havenly designer Kylee Trunck shared her top five tips for refreshing any room:

1. Use high-contrast colors for movement/visual interest.

2. Add in a conversation piece.

3. Mix patterns with solids to ground them.

4. Add sculptural pieces with unique shapes.

5. Add pieces that compliment each other, but aren’t part of a set.

If you live in the NYC area and love design as much as we do, you’ll love our future workshops. Stop by our next event on October 18th at 6:30pm!
