Isabel Okoro's "An Alternate Arrival" is the story of a young couple on the search for something more. Amidst their search for Eternity, they are drawn in by the warm glow of the sun. "I like to draw inspiration from everyday life happenings, because I believe in the magic of normalcy. It takes a certain commitment to freedom to feel comfortable with just being, and I'm trying to get there every day." Original photo reproduced here on luster photo paper.
Isabel Okoro is a Toronto-based artist and photographer. The cornerstone of her practice is visualizing and developing an imagined world. A space to immortalize community members through stories of speculative fiction that embrace her concept of normatopia––a term she coined to describe the space between the Motherland and the diaspora.
