Artist Ksenia Sizaya puts memories on canvas in organic shapes and layers. Remembering the way fog rolls across the Amalfi Coast of Italy early in the morning, Sizaya captured the obscured landscape in painting with poured acrylic, washes and textured materials like rocks and sand.
Sizaya is a Montreal-based artist who was trained in St. Petersburg, Russia, and completed her master's degree in graphic art. Sizaya says her art is influenced by abstract expressionism and modernism. "I've always been a creative person, even as a small child. Design and art have always been a major part of my life." The artist is inspired by city life imagery and the outdoors.
