Very nice to look at, but a little short
OK, so maybe I had something different in mind, but this lamp is a little short. Too short, in fact, to put over my sofa, which is what I purchased it for. Nonetheless, it's nicely made, modern, and does provide a nice, warm light. So if you have an empty corner to put this lamp in, it will be perfect. That's what I ended up doing with it.

Beautiful!
My sister had this lamp, and complained that it wasn't terribly sturdy, so I didn't buy at first. But I LOVEd how it looked last time I was at her house, so had to buy and try. It's not rock-solid, but that's just the nature of a hanging-ish floor lamp. It's absolutely perfect over our sectional, and I don't know how we lived without it before!

Excellent Lamp in Need of Minor Improvement
After reading the reviews that this lamp is too short I was very anxious that it woud be too small for my loft area with tall, angled ceilings. I originally bought this lamp to dangle over a couch. The lamp is of excellent quality and functions very well. It even angles up slightly, though I wish it would angle up just a bit more. The light is warm and bright enough for me, but I prefer dimmer light than some people. It is 74" tall as described, but the shade does hang about 58-60" from the floor, something to consider. One salesperson with whom I chatted through the website said that it could extend to 78", tall, but mine is the 74" as in the description. I placed it behind a sofa, and it worked, but I ultimately placed it in a more visible location because I really like the look. The lines of the lamp work well with my angled ceiling. If the lamp could extend just 6" higher it would be perfect. Still, I am very happy with my purchase. My space is versatile enough that it will look great in various locations. I may even occasionally swap it with the wonderful Big Dipper Arc lamp (also from CB2) I have in my downstairs livingroom to change the look.

Best Floor Lamp Purchase
I purchased this floor lamp to go in my living room. It fits perfectly over my sectional sofa and gives off great reading lighting for this room. It is a great modern piece. I love it!

Too short
The other reviewer who wrote that this lamp is too low is absolutely right. Its too low to overhang over a sofa to be used for reading. And its too low to look nice and dramatic in a living room space. Otherwise, the shade is big and nice. The shade material is also hardy.

I'm not sure how everyone else has so much success with this product. After of month of owning this lamp and using it maybe once or twice, I had to lean it up against a wall because it started to sag so much. It just naturally began to fall forward. I noticed this in the store model but figured it was just because it was a display model and probably not set up properly. Its a nice looking lamp but I eventually threw it in storage because it got in my way. Too bad :(

Bought 2, Loved 1
I really loved the look of this lamp, and when I saw it was on sale recently I bought two; one for the living room and one for the dining room. They assemble super easily, and look great when done. But there are a few issues. 1) they arent nearly as tall as they looked like on the website. 2) the lamp's arm has a really limited arch 3) the gears that lock the arm joints in place, can be a little weak/ineffective.
The one lamp that I love - works like a charm. The other - doesnt at all. It needs constant tightening, otherwise the lamp shade will slip and droop.
In fact, I woke up this morning - saw this email on my phone, looked up and the arm had drooped again overnight. Ironic timing.

It Adds Everything
Once again CB2 delivers on quality, style and service. We love our cool new floor lamp. It instantly updated the corner of the room where it sits, and it provides warm, cozy light as we gather in our living room each evening. It is a focal point with its slanted body and square shade. It's a good-looking lamp and makes for nice soft lighting as the shade completely covers the lightbulb. The square lampshade may be larger than expected.

Love this lamp
The pictures on the site do not do the lamp justice. It is a beautiful graphite gray and off white well made shade. The lamp is well made and sturdy. Easy to adjust and will certainly be a conversation piece in any room.

Fantastic lamp
Beautiful lamp--lovely design and execution. Very good quality for the price. It looks spectacular! It was extremely well packed and easy to assemble. Our only issue is that the screw for the angle adjustment of the height of shade slips and only will stay in one particular angle, which is not as high as we would like it to be. Also, the bulb included is only good for ambient light not reading. we swapped it for an LED bulb.

Awesome lamp
I LOVE this lamp! However I couldn't keep it as it was too big for my space. It is solid, easy to put together and the diffuser underneath the shade matches the rest of it which adds to the cool contemporary look. Even though I measured, I was still surprised how big the shade was.
The only thing you should know is that there is not much wiggle room when it comes to placing the lamp. The back handle is just for decoration. I would have liked more ability to make adjustments.
Still I would have kept it if my living room was bigger.

arrived quickly. easy to set up. all is all with product no complaints at all. looks just like photo. searched a long time for floor lamp. able to read with the light included nice dimmer like the square shade.

Worth the Money!
I love this lamp, the pictures don't do it justice. The lamp adds a nice elegant touch to our den and works perfectly over the couch. It adds a modern feel without being overbearing.

Works in different spaces
I first bought this lamp for my daughter whose apt is traditional and modern/feminine. She loves it. My son liked so much I bought it for his apt which is hip and industrial. Fits beautifully there also. Looks more masculine in his place. Both of them have it over chairs for reading. Great purchase - both times.

Great Look - Not much light
The lamp looks great in my apartment. However, given it's large size, it does not give off much light (the bottom of the shade has a screen that blocks a lot of the light). So while it looks great, it does not do much to brighten up a room.

I love this lamp
I purchased this for my modern living room about a year ago. It's just the right amount of filtered light to create the ambiance that I wanted. The height and angle doesn't adjust as much as the design led me to believe. But it still looks great.
