Tepoztlán Mexico Travel Journal

Travel an hour or two south of Mexico City and you’ll arrive in Tepoztlán, a mysterious, mystical hideaway that feels almost like uncharted territory. An ancient pyramid and churches exist alongside modernist architecture and sculptures, all nestled in the jungle at the foot of the mountains. It’s rich in history and mythology; according to some sources, Tepoztlán is the birthplace of the Aztec god Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent and patron of priests. It’s also the place our Outdoor 2020 Collection came to life.

Shooting the collection led us on an epic adventure to this magical town hidden away in the mountains of Central Mexico, where you can unwind in wellness or party the night away — or both, if you’re up for it. Our intrepid crew tried to capture some of that essence via these Tepoztlán pictures, which we compiled into a travel journal of sorts.
