the desk is quite a bit chunkier than I expected based on the information provided on the website. Overall, it seems to be a quality piece of furniture though.

Tesso Wall Mounted Bookcases
I bought two and mounted them against a dark charcoal grey wall; they are stunning! I am not "handy" at all and put together quickly and did get a neighbor to help mount on the wall.

Nice bookcase
Very sturdy against the wall, the shelves were surprisingly heavy. That said, it was easy for me to put it together by myself. I have two next to each other and they look just great!

SO happy
I ordered these shelves based on the picture and the other positive reviews. I sure was not disappointed. These shelves look AMAZING! They do not take up alot of space but make a huge impact on the design in our condo. I put 4 of them together on a big blank wall in a diining room. It's turned out to be a great designn choice. We have received many, many compliments. The quality of the chrome and the shelves is very good. They were easy to put up and are very secure since they are attached to the wall. I love that they are only 10 inches deep. They look very expensive!!! Thanks for making such a great product!!! =)

Airy, Compact, Useful
This piece has a very small footprint, with a shallow depth perfect for our books and random stuff we love to see. The glass shelves are sturdy but don't take up a lot of visual space. The chrome frame makes this look more substantial and higher end than other glass or wood veneer bookcases. There are a few places where the welding isn't perfect but they're not noticeable from the front or sides on our piece. Installation was a chore, be prepared to spend time measuring--a lot--and carefully drilling. SInce this attaches to the wall at very specific points, it's an exercise in precision and patience. I've assembled many pieces of furniture and on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being most difficult, this about a 3.5. But it was definitely worth it!

Tesso love!
I absolutely love the Tesso shelves! Sleek, modern, sophisticated, and high quality. As an interior designer, I can envision them used in an array of spaces and aesthetics, and they are reasonably priced. Because their vertical height, your ceilings will actually look higher. I love them so much that I wrote my weekly blog about them. 100% recommended.

Very Modern and Sleek
I am very happy with this shelf. The modern, chrome and glass look is perfect for my decor. Delivery was quick, and it was well-packaged and easy to assemble. Beware of the plastic anchors, and as others have said, use your own from a hardware store. I have drywall, and I tried twice to use one of the supplied anchors, but both times it broke off while screwing it into the drywall. I ended up using my own anchors with the supplied bright chrome screws, and it looks awesome. I couldn't be happier with this shelf.

This is more than a bookcase; it's a work of art!
It is wall-mounted so make sure you're okay with that. It's sleek, beautiful, and everyone who has been in my house has commented on how "different" it is.

Defects Galore
We bought these shelves, unpacked them, and proceded to install them. Only then do we find out that one of the brackets was welded at the wrong height, throwing the shelf out of alignment, and that there are huge welding marks in the corners (areas of orangish discoloration; that's just sloppy work - our matching table has none of those marks). We brought them back and got another. There was a large dent on the side. So we brought those backs and got another: and again, a dent! We were so frustrated. We had bought the glass and chrome dining table, which was pristine. Something must have happened with quality control, because we had the same experience with filing cabinets from CB2. The store sort of made it right, but I will forever have patched holes in my wall, rather than no holes. My mistake for trusting the product. CB2's mistake for not having excellent QC.

Great Bookcase
I ordered this bookcase on-line and had it shipped to my home. It arrived in great shape and on time. The quality is very good and the style is great. It was packed very well and easy to assemble. I have a 50s ranch style home and it looks great.
I highly recommend this item.

Elegant & minimalist, but check your walls first!
The moment I saw this bookshelf, I knew I had to have it. The design is fantastic -- strong and elegant without exuding the 'heaviness' that most bookshelves bring to a room; perfect for smaller living spaces. The only problem came when my friend and I were attempting to install the drywall anchors. Like other reviewers have said, the anchors are made of cheap plastic and start wearing down the moment you try and drill them in the wall. Also, if you live in an apartment (like me) that has wood panels behind the drywall for fire safety reasons, forget the anchors entirely and just go to Home Depot. It's about $1 for 6 metal wood-screws (just ask an employee there if you're not sure -- they'll know what you're talking about). Make sure the wood-screws are about the same diameter as the screws that came with the bookshelf, so they fit through the holes. Other than that, installation is a piece of cake (although it's better to have another person there to make sure the metal frame doesn't fall on top of you). It's a little time consuming to allen-wrench each tempered glass shelf into the frame, but the result is well worth it. (Note that you'll have to make an appointment with CB2 to have this delivered to your home. I have to say that the delivery guys were ultra professional and courteous, not to mention a whole hour early. Great customer service.)

Absolutely perfect
Ordered 5 of these to complete the conversion of our formal living room (we aren't formal people) into a library (we have loads of books and love to read). Needed something with good height as we have tall ceilings but didn't want the room to feel dark and closed in. These worked perfectly. Easy to assemble and install and look amazing!

Beautiful shelves
I put 3 shelves together to hold / display barware & serving pieces in my new studio. The chrome and glass shelves seem to disappear, letting the items on display take center stage. The shelves don't block light or visually encroach on the small space. Installation was actually much easier than I thought it would be. The assembly instructions were very easy to follow.

Sleek, elegant, sturdy
We are very happy with our Tesso wall-mounted book case. It was easy to install and takes up very little visual space. We display some of our favorite books, magazines, and favorite CB2 table top decor on our bookcase. The shelves are tempered glass and the structure is polished chrome. Our home is mostly mid-century modern and it suites our style quite well.

absolutely fantastic
I took a chance and ordered 4 of these in June. Came when I asked for them. Finally got the room done so I could install. Says it takes two but I was able to do it all by myself. Found them very easy to assemble and install. I find them to be of very nice quality for the cost. Exactly what I was looking for. Clean lines and great size. Only wish is that I could adjust the shelves to different heights. One very pleased customer.

Sleek Design, Great Quality
Purchased two units for my art gallery space. I chose them for their compact design, their clean, sleek appearance, their wall-mounted design, and the shelf spacing. Everything arrived safely in two boxes for each unit, one for the chrome frame and one for the shelves. The precise, well illustrated instructions make for an easy installation, with one notable exception: the supplied wall anchors are a cheap brittle moulded plastic. Don't use them. The slightest bit of resistance when you are screwing them in, and they will break off in the wall. Rather than having to drill them out, just go buy the nylon or metal ones from the start, and save yourself the hassle. Oh, one thing the instructions and specs don't mention is that the shelves are adjustable-not vertically, but horizontally in and out from the wall so that you can run a cord behind the shelves or allow for an uneven wall surface.

restroom Shelf
I have a huge restroom in my condo and wanted to place a bookcase. Found this book case and was wondering how it would hold up, as I did see some that are wood that I was comparing this one too. I asked a CB2 employee and they told me its rust resistant to a certain level of course as I was concern how it would hold up in a restroom with moisture. But I went ahead and got it anyways. It fits so perfectly, I am in love with it. Very sturdy, and all my friends just love it! Im always getting compliments and is holding up to the moisture from showers very well. If your looking for a bookcase or shelves, Then this is it. Very modern, GREAT JOB CB2!

Of the seven bookcases I purchased one was defective and CB2 promptly sent out a replacement.

Great bookshelves
I have high ceilings but an otherwise small "office", so these are great shelves with a narrow-but-sufficient depth. Note that they do require mounting into the wall. Drywall anchors are included.
