eco weave. Handmade by artisans in Panipat, India, the "City of Weavers," eco-friendly rug weaves a muted multicolor grid of cotton fabric remnants salvaged and repurposed from textile mills in southern India, Mumbai and Ahmadabad. In an intensive eight-step process that can take up to 15 days and 32 skilled artisans depending on the size of the rug, strips of cotton are selected by color, tufted and finished—all entirely by hand. Upcycled from cutting room floor to living room floor, pastel hues of blue, green, grey, beige, orange and white stripe variegated blocks that alternate vertical/horizontal. Colors vary from rug to rug, making each unique.
