Very nice
I like this piece. A lot. It's very sturdy, and the veneer is beautiful (much better than I expected). It goes together easy enough if you follow the directions closely (thinking I knew what I was doing, I flipped a couple pieces around and had to do some retooling late in the game, but that was entirely my fault as everything is well labeled).
Overall a very niece piece. The storage is fantastic. I wish it were a hair deeper but it's definitely workable. I put my liquor/party stuff on it and it looks very classy.

Exactly what I needed
I was a little apprehensive about purchasing this type of furniture online without having seen it first but read the reviews and kept my fingers crossed. I'm so happy I took the plunge!
The credenza arrived the same week I ordered it. It came in 2 boxes which arrived a day apart. Assembly was very simple and easy - each board was labeled, all the holes lined up, there was nothing for me to figure out on my own. I assembled it alone and it took me about 30 mins. The finished product looks solid, and looks much more expensive than what I paid for. Definitely value for money!
I use this in my dining room to hold some serving dishes and linen, and it's perfect for that. Before purchasing this I had looked at many other sites with more expensive furniture but am happy I chose this. I am very satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend it.

Great console
This looks great and is much sturdier and higer quality than I expected. It was pretty easy to put together and the doors slide like a dream. This was big enough for us to put a DVD player and a Wii inside with lots of extra storage room.

Great piece of furniture
All of my expectations were met with this piece of furniture. It is actually better quality then I expected! Easy to assemble, and the walnut veneer is beautiful. I would highly recommend this - for the price you won't be disappointed.

Almost perfect
First off, the sage credenza is gorgeous. It was relatively easy to put together, the doors move smoothly, and the finish is (did I mention?) gorgeous. To my eyes, the monitor color is accurate. Another plus is that it's sturdy and easy to slide around if necessary. I use it to hold my TV with a/v equipment on one side and media/board game storage on the other.
The reason it lost a star is that it's not quite deep enough. Although intended to hold a/v equipment, the designers neglected to include sufficient space for the plugs of the wiring that stick out of the jacks. I left off the back panel, which isn't ideal, but it's sturdy regardless. Still, it's a shame because with one more inch it would be perfect. The veneer could be a bit thicker/stronger too--I nicked the top front edge putting my TV on it, and I thought I was careful--so be extra careful and use a towel with yours!
Before I bought this, I'd been looking for a vintage piece that I could repurpose, but most I saw had drawers rather than shelves and I would have had to cut open the backs for the cords, which would have been sad. After having it for two months, I'm happy I got this credenza instead--it was also cheaper than most vintage.

Wow! Pleasant surprise
Its always very risky purchasing products, such as a piece of furniture online, without seeing the product first hand. CB2 has great products, but I was still nervous purchasing this piece online. But you great surprise this piece is amazing! For the price, you get a very sturdy piece of furniture. The color is a warm brown that compliments just about anything you may have in your home. The sleek design is modern without being cold. Very mid century modern. The mental legs are just perfect! It gives the piece a great industrial look without compromising the warmth of the piece! Great buy!!

fixed shelves
Interior shelves are truly fixed and cannot be removed. Saga also has an artificial scent to it that I hope dissipates soon! Otherwise the credenza is functioning well as out-of-kitchen bar storage. Mixes well with our all-white/natural palette.

Better than I expected
This credenza is very nice for the price. I had my eye on a previous wood credenza for sale on CB2 and waffled for too long not wanting to pay $250 to ship 1 thing....This piece came along after the other one sold out so I ordered it and I like it a lot. I don't collect/display glassware or crystal so I have my record player on it and record collection inside. Looks great. It arrived in perfect condition and once I got my handy brother over to help me assemble it I was very happy with it. Simple, solid and well-priced.

Beautiful!!!
We ordered this and when it arrived one of the boxes was damaged by the local delivery company. cb2 customer service was so helpful and got the second box out to us asap.
It is beautiful. The walnut veneers resemble rosewood, and the finish has a soft look. The feet are very industrial, and are balanced by the warmth of the wood.
The doors glide so quietly, and it was very easy to assemble.

Clean, Modern and nicely designed
We purchased this item online without seeing the product in a CB2 store. I was very impressed with the quality and how easy it was to put together. From a designer's perspective, the piece is very functional and also clean and modern. It has provided some much needed storage space and fits nicely into our living space.

Great purchase!
Ordered this credenza last week and received and assembled it yesterday. No problems with shipping as previously reported in other reviews (I did the 2-day express shipping via FedEx). I love the look - simple and understated design with clean lines that fits well with my mostly mid century modern decor. I am impressed with the quality - it is better than I thought it would be. I am very happy with the purchase as I have been looking for a piece like this for almost 2 years!!

I love the saga credenza...it is so sharp and the delivery was fine. Only thing took the husband 2 hours to put together! But he did it!!

Destroyed in shipping
I wish I could attach a picture. The box was severely damaged. Looks like forklift tines went right through the product. The veneer is very nice. It is over CARDBOARD. Thats correct, folks. Best I can tell the area penetrated by the forklift is made from some kind of paper- not wood, not particle board, paper.

Handsome credenza; delivery quality issues
As others have said, this is a handsome yet affordable walnut-veneered credenza. It looks amazing in my small condo living room with its 21st century spin on the mid-century modern aesthetic. I'm using it as a media console for my 46" LCD TV and the size is perfect.
As others have said, it is darker than it appears on the website. Assembling it was straight forward - the sticker labels helped.
The only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is that I had it delivered to Canada and the box was pretty battered by the time it got to me. There were many dents in both boxes, and one of the metal crossbars had actually punctured through its box and was sliding out. (I'm wondering if this had to do with getting the package through customs... )
There were some noticeable scratches on the wood and on one of the metal door handles, but not bad enough for me to go through the hassles of an exchange. I've decided I'll YouTube wood furniture repairs as an alternative.

Great Piece!
This credenza is beautiful. The veneer is a lovely dark walnut that is continued through to the back of the piece. I am super glad I bought it - building it was simple (with the help of my boyfriend, of course) and it feels extremely solid. A couple of notes, though: 1) the walnut veneer is darker in real life than it appears on the screen. I would say it is a dark stain, but on the screen it appears medium. 2) We have Time Warner as our cable provider and our HD DVR cable box BARELY fits inside the credenza. When we go to close the door, it presses the channel button every time. If you plan on keeping the door always open, it's not a big deal. Even still, I am happy with the purchase.

Sturdy and Stylish
I bought this online having only seen it in passing at the CB2 showroom in Emeryville. I must say that I was a bit concerned when the shipping details noted delivery of two separate boxes. After it arrived, however, I was able to quickly put it together and set it up myself. I was impressed with the quality of the wood finish and the solid construction of the steel base. It matches my slate flooring to a tee and though I wish the shelving was adjustable (for records, etc.) I highly recommend it as a media console for any modern home.

Beautiful
Well made and looks incredible. Using it as a TV console for a 55" TV. Only problem is it's not really deep so the amp for the sound just didn't fit. Took off the back and all is fine, still quite structurally sound which says just how well built it is. Definitely a quality piece.
