Love this couch (times 2)
We were considering a sectional for space and ended up with two of the pewter avecs instead. WOW - one of the best purchases we've made. Stays clean, looks fantastic and yet is super comfortable and roomy. We are very happy.

love this gorgeous sofa!
Very comfy yet modern and sleek. We always get compliments on this couch. It's also very easy to clean - spills wipe up easily with a wet cloth.

happy with purchase
I bought this sofa about a year and a half ago. So far has held up well. It's not the type of sofa you can sink into. I'm pretty short (5'3'') so I like the shallow depth. But it's comfortable enough. The fabric warms up my industrial looking loft, and preponderance of industrial and modern furniture and accessories.

gorgeous sofa
Bought this sofa off the website with fingers crossed. It's turned out to be the best sofa I've ever purchased. It's spacious enough to accommodate four people, and the poly velvet is easily cleaned. A comfortable yet very stylish couch that I get a lot of compliments on. I've had it for over a year now and still love it.

Love It!
I've only had this couch for a week--but so far I absolutely love it. The couch is beautiful, very modern and stylish. It's very long--and can comfortably fit 4 people, maybe even 5. At this point, I can't speak to the durability--but up to this point it has met my expectations in every way. Not to mention that the delivery guys were fantastic. Best of all--my cats don't seem at all interested in scratching the fabric.

Worst couch ever.
The couch has sleek euro styling but when I bought mine (it was offered in red) and the think just fades away in the shade. Very poor quality workmanship on the fabric. Dull and not a pop. It is not a very comfortable counch either unless you like sittimng like you are in Catholic School.

Sturdy
This is a pretty sturdy couch... a tad darker in person than online, but the fabric feels great.

Contemporary, cool, comfy
I love it. I was looking for something sort of "Mid-Century Modern" sort of Mad Men and this fits the bill. It's very comfy, very soft. Cleans easily with distilled water. Dog hair easily brushes off. The two seat cushions detach, which is great for flipping and cleaning. It's pretty light. Nice size; would fit three people; two comfortably. I disagree with the reviewer who called it "olive grey"; I say it's a true pewter grey. You could call it a charcoal grey. It's a little shallow--but not bad. Just not a lounging/ sink-into-the-cushions couch.

Modern and Comfortable
My husband and I bought this couch a couple months ago, and really love it. I love the style and look of it, very modern but also has a vintage flair to it. It is also very soft, with the velvety fabric, but firm enough to be comfotable. We haven't had any stains, and even had one accident with some wine that was able to be wiped off very easily!

Great find
This is a beautiful, comfortable sofa and fantastic quality for the money. It took me forever to take a chance on ordering something like this online, but am so happy I did. After a few months of use, it has proved to be durable and easy to clean even with three dogs in the house. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Perfection in Grey Suede
I took a long time to figure out that this was the sofa I wanted. Having shopped around and shopped around and shopped around, I found the Avec sofa, but took time to figure out that it was *my* sofa. Once I committed to it, I have never looked back and am completely happy with both it's functionality, and its design. The suede is easy to clean, and the clean lines of the sofa itself make it a beautiful piece of furniture without being overstated. It isn't yelling at you, but it is a strong couch. It's super comfy, comfy for lying and sleeping on, as well as large enough to sit 4 people across. It's strength (having survived a cross country move while standing on it's arm) is amazing, and once I put it in my new apartment, it made me feel like home.

child magnet
This sofa is beautiful, as you can probably tell from the photos. What you can't tell, is that it has a soft, velvety texture. I was worried that it would be extremely sensitive to stains and smears and when my 2 young children began viewing it as their giant new stuffed animal, I was convinced it would be ruined. So far so good! I've been able to wipe away signs of their affection, and am pleased to discover that parenting and style can go together.

Still love it after almost 2 years.
I bought this couch in November of 2009 and I am still as in love with it as the day bought it. The cushions do start to look a lit saggy in between vaccuumings, but I feel like it fluffs right up afer we vaccum. We also flip the cushions periodically. The couch is long and quite comfotable for 2 people or 4. It will easily fit 5, but not quite as comfortably. I love the deep charcoal color and it cleans up really nicely with a damp cloth as long as you go with the fabric.

Great modern sofa for loft
I'd been looking for a modern sofa that was long enough to take naps on and not be too soft. This was the best one I found after searching for 6 months. It's a perfect fit in terms of size and style for my loft-style apt. I wish I knew the new tweed color/fabric was coming out because I might have considered that fabric instead, which is why I knocked one star off my review. The velvet of this sofa needs to be smoothed out often, but I usually don't bother. The delivery was smooth and easy and they attached the legs in 5 minutes.

Great! but......
Aesthetics and design are great! Made in USA!!! Love this sofa for its comfy feel and solid frame construction, but in a short time cushions get deformed and wrinkled and it doesn't bounce back into shape. Is it possible we made a mistake in choosing it? Hopefully not. My advice is to go to the store and sit on it for awhile. See what it does, then decide.

modern chic
We love the sleek silhouette, textured fabric and smart details of this sofa. The low back keeps the sight lines clean in our open concept space, and the tight-back cushions keeps the sofa looking tidy (hate when sofa cushions get squishy and malformed!). The button details on the back of the sofa add some design appeal and the fabric looks sophisticated and is soft to the touch. A wonderful addition to any carefully curated space. The delivery team was incredible - they had the sofa into the house, unwrapped and the legs put on within minutes, and they were careful to remove all packaging and clean up after themselves. Also very courteous. Overall, a fabulous experience.

Cushion Material stretching
I love the look and overall comfort of this couch, but the cushion material is starting to stretch and show waves over the cushion.. it used to be nice and tight like the pictures.. no waves or lines. I've had it about six months and only weight 140lbs. a little disappointed.

One Year Later
I've had this sofa since March of 2010. I wanted to wait for a while before I reviewed it. Well, I still love it and it has held up very well with my two sons (11 and 8). It hides dirt and marks very well and it is very easy to spot clean. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Regretable!!
The stitching came undone on the back only a few days after it was delivered, and we had hardly used it at all. The color is much greener than it looks in the picture, and the fabric always looks awful! I'm constantly smoothing it out so all the fibers lay the same way and don't make the couch look ratty. What angers me even more is today I see the same sofa in a beautiful light grey tweed!!! Had I known 2 months ago when I bought my sofa this would have been available, I would have waited for it. Why couldn't someone have told me they were coming out with a new fabric?? I love CB2 and was planning on furnishing most of our house from here, but I don't want to regret another huge purchase.
