Great yellow hue to the "flame". Has a timer which is helpful. No strong, chemical smell. High quality glass holder is included. Great price. Would buy again.

color did not match
I will admit that I haven't called or gone to the store but not happy... one is a clear color and one is more an amber color for the candle light.

Buyer Beware!
We ordered one dozen of the Platinum candles from Smart Candle 2-3 years ago, including a charging station. Cost a fortune. Use them for our wedding. Lost the plug for the charging station in a move and spent over $50 for a replacement cord from Smart Candle directly. Recently attempted to recharge the candles only to find that 5 of the 12 would not hold their charge. Almost 1/2 of them! After several weeks of a run-around, and being shuffled off to deal with one of their distributors in the area, was told that they don't stand behind their product. Can you believe?! After spending $350 for the system, which included candles that couldn't cost more than a few dollars, we're now instructed to just buy more.
Would strongly encourage anyone to rethink this decision.
We stepped up for the excessive cost with the mindset that we would have them for a long time. 42% failure rate in just 2-3 years has made this look like a terrible decision.
Buyer beware!

Mellow Yellow
Smaller than expected and I thought the glow would be white as pictured not yellow/orange. Thinking of returning them.

Perfect for parties
I use these on the stairs to the mezzanine during parties. Adds pretty and safe illumination in a high traffic area.

Realistic and fun!
The light from these candles is incredibly realistic and I don't have to worry about falling asleep with them on! They seem a little bit smaller than I pictured in my head, but I definitely think they're a great value for the price.

Cute but difficult to change battery
The candles are darling until one tries to change the batteries. The batteries that come with the candles don't last long and are not of good quality.
To replace the battery one needs a very very small screw driver. Once the little screw is removed from the candle so the batteries can be replaced, the screw will not go back in the intended hole. I tape the bottom. The candles are in glass containers so the tape is not visible.

Best substitute for a real candle on a table
This is the best substitute you can have for a real candle on a dinner table. One of my friends saw it and said, beautiful candle before peeking into it and was like whoa - that aint a real candle in there!.. that pretty sums it up how real it looks.. best 10 bucks ever spent

Smart purchase, slight hiccup
I bought these to use on my balcony. They're great and I fooled a couple of friends who thought they were real! I also had them ready to go just in case we lost power during the 2010 blizzard on the east coast. The only bad thing is changing the batteries. I can't find a screwdriver small enough to open the panel. Other than that, they're the best fake candles on the market.

I bought two of these, but plan to get more because I use them so much. I love that I can have the effect of candles without making a waxy mess or being paranoid about burning down the house.

a happy surprise
Bought a half dozen of these as a gift for my son for his new apt. They look great, no maintenance except an occasional battery change. Like real candles, without the mess. Will definitely consider these as gifts for my candle-loving friends

Very yellow, almost orange light
Cute enough little faux candle but the glow is very yellow, almost orange and not at all like the picture.

pretty
It's a great little light, that flickers like a real candle -- none of my friends knew that it WASN'T a real candle. The ONLY negative is that to turn it on or off you have to tip the glass jar, take out the bulb, switch it on or off and then put it back -- there's no switch on the jar itself.

Smaller than I thought.. Great though!
I somehow thought this candle would be bigger than it actually is. Honestly, it worked out better though because I just put it in my bathroom on the Format Tank Tray (SKU: 493794) with my toothbrush holder and soap and it fits perfectly! The light really does look natural. I think I might need to stock up on these for use around my apartment. Great product with no fuss. Also, would be great for use if the power ever went out.

Good at a Party
These darling little candles are perfect when you want to pump up the ambience at a cocktail party, dinner gathering or a cozy evening at home. My husband hates candles (what is wrong with him) so I bought these to appease him, but I really love them too. They're great outside on the deck in the evening, on the mantle or on a bookshelf. I light a few real candles and scatter these about for added warmth and athmosphere.
