Not Quite What I Expected
Gosh - I am so pained to be a voice of dissent on this should-have-been-awesome rug! I have been drooling over this rug ever since it was listed on CB2.com. Once it went on sale, I decided it was time to bite the bullet. When I finally saw it, I felt definitely disappointment. The rug that I received was not nearly as full as the picture shows. There were small bald spots all over the rug where the brown backing showed through. The long strands hang pretty flat, and because they aren't very full, I couldn't get them to fluff up. It just looked like a sad version of the pictures on the site. I had to return it with a heavy heart. I will say that I have always been extremely satisfied with the many things that I have purchased on CB2, so this was an aberration - and customer service was extremely helpful.

FANTASTIC!
This rug is fantastic. It has variations in color that you can't see in the pictures. The price is excellent and it brightens up the room. Do not hesitate! I'm just hoping my dogs don't think it's real grass. ;)

After reading the reviews I finally decided to buy this rug I am 500% happy with my rug!!! The photo does no justice for this rug! It's beautiful multicolored & I smile every time I walk in my place! Don't have 2nd thoughts buy this rug!

Pretty rug with a weird texture
I like this rug a lot and I've wanted it for a long time. I saw it was on clearance and panicked, thinking it would be discontinued soon, so I bought it finally. It definitely looks like grass and is very pretty. I live in an industrial city with not a whole lot of green, so I wanted a colorful green rug for my loft. It arrived quickly and was packaged well. I don't care for the texture as much as I thought I would. It's almost rubbery and not very soft. My cat doesn't like to walk on it and will walk around it. This disappointed me a little bit, but it's not a deal breaker. The rug LOOKS great and is worth keeping, especially now that it is on clearance!

Artificial Turf
We've wanted this rug over a year but had to wait while we gut-reno'd our apartment. It was worth the wait and exactly what we hoped it would be. I think we'll put a pad under it at some point just to make it a little more cushy, but it is not uncomfortable to lay on by any means. I'm sure come February our patch of green will still keep our apartment feeling as alive as spring!

It really ties the room together
Moving into my second apartment in New York was a daunting task, for a couple of reasons. One, the weekend that I ended up moving was the weekend of hurricane Irene. The second was that my apartment building required 80% of the open floor space to be covered with carpeting.
My quest to find a carpet that not only looked interesting and modern, but also was affordable kept coming up short. On a stroll through SoHo, I came across the CB2 store. Ok, I thought, this is some nice stuff. Upon coming across the "grass" shag rug, I knew my search was over. I ran my fingers through the long shag and was transported. I knew getting out of bed and stepping onto this would be a great way to wake up in the morning. I can't think of an accurate metaphor to describe the feel of the carpet, but suffice to say, I love it. It has more of a rubber feel than a cloth feel.
The par shag rug is in the center of my bedroom, with my desk at the front of the room and bed to the right. It really ties the room together and I've gotten many compliments on it. I'm just hoping I don't get a visit from nihilists with a pet marmot anytime soon.

I wanted this rug for a few years and finally bought it. I'm sad I didn't get it sooner. It looks amazing in my little boys room. I'm in love every time I look at it.

Great rug!
I love this rug! The different shades of green give it great visual texture and it is very soft underfoot. Looks terrific with my retro modern dinette set.

Compliment City
I absolutely love this rug! Living in the urban jungle of NYC, we wanted to try to bring elements of nature indoors to our apartment. When I saw this rug at CB2, I knew it was the one - the shag style really does replicate the look of grass, yet it a totally tasteful modern way. The various colors of green really create a beautiful look and it catches the sunlight beautifully. Every time people come over they are like "where did you get that rug??!!" We get sooo many compliments, I know we made the right decision in purchasing it.

Conversation Starter
Besides the grassy look it adds to my living room, I love how it draws comments from visitors. Everyone that sees it loves it and asks where I got it from. It really completes my living room. Now if I can only stop my dog from eyeing it.

great rug for the price
this rug is great. i can't give it five stars though because one of the poly pile strings were loosened from the rug. It was only one but I hope it doesn't happen more often. I hardly walk on it to begin with. It's a beautiful rug and everyone who sees it thinks it's grass. Awesome conversation peice.

Luv it
I bought this rug, and was a little timid not seeing it in person. I have a condo, and the theme is very tropical and bright. This rug tied everything together and made the room pop with style against the hardwood floor. The carpet is the finishing touch!

very cool rug
This rug looks almost exactly like the pictures online. It does NOT look like real grass ...but it could be mistaken for cheap astroturf (I mean that in the best way possible.) It has a high shine and is made of a variety of different colors of fabric. It's great for a modern/kitschy/cool/campy/youthful apartment.

Patch of Grass for the Nursery

I love this rug! Bought it for my daughter's nursery and it looks great! I even conducted a tug test to make sure none of the 'blades of grass' pulled free to pose a choking hazard and they all stayed safely put. Feels great under foot and looks like a million bucks!

Great Product, Highly Recommend
I saw this rug at the CB2 store in Miami and fell in love with it. I ordered it along with the recommended pad. Both items arrived timely (separate deliveries, though). In unwrapping the pad, the strong chemical smell caught me off guard and I was concerned it'd make my little condo stink, but that fear never materialized. I got the rug placed and really like it. The color and texture were similar to what I saw in Miami, but remembered it being a bit darker. That's okay. The tendrils are matted down, so I continue to work through them with my hands and feet, which helps it look a bit darker and fuller. All in all, it looks great, it's fairly unique, and I'm very pleased with it. I recommend both the rug and the pad. Oh, and like other reviewers have said, it's not soft even with the pad. So, if you want something comfy underneath you, then this rug may not be for you, or you'll want to invest in a thicker padding.

Great Buy!
I was very reluctant to buy this rug because it makes a really big statement. It's not exactly a timeless piece that goes with everything, but I have grown to absolutely love it! it is very soft and comfortable to walk on, unlike a regular wool rug. I also have a matching arc lamp that CB2 no longer sells. Highly recommended!

Love the rug
Purchased for our infant's room and he loves it. It adds a great whimsical touch to the room. He tugs on the shag and to date the carpet looks to be holding up to the abuse. Careful if you have a dog though, ours loves the rug too and we always have to chase him off as he's rolling around on it.
