Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE this console! The wood grain is so interesting, it adds dimension and interest to what otherwise would be just a very basic piece. The handy holes in the back keep all my cords away from view and the drawers are perfect for DVDs and other media.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Drawer won't close Got this delivered a few years back, and the unit was delivered with the right drawer that won't close. It keeps sliding out and won't stay in.Saw them take it off the delivery truck with this right drawer sliding out while the other was in. Thought it would eventually close but it still hasn't

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Piece We've had this piece for several months now. The more I look at it, the more I love it. The wood is warm and inviting. It is very high quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from functional and fashionable This console is the perfect fit in our apartment. I loved the size and the color of the stain paired with the metal at first site! I got down on the floor at the store to investigate if it would fit our DVR, DVD player and modem, but couldn't find the hole for the wires. I told my husband it was so perfect, but that we would have to drill a hole for the wires. Turns out there is a secret hole in the back of each shelf that hides all the wires so they go all the way down to the floor. Of course CB2 thought of everything! This console fits all of our electronics and hides all the wires. Now I just need to find more living room furniture to match!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice piece of furniture Wanted a mixed medium: wood and metal, clean lines, not to rustic or too modern. Love the drawers

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for an Apartment We've had this for a couple years now and it's the perfect tv credenza for an apartment. It's small but fits all of our electronics. As an interior designer, my favorite part is the matte wood grain finish and sleek lines.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from my favorite cb2 item ever i moved cross country and brought nothing with me. over the past year i have furnished an entire 1200 sq. ft. apartment through cb2. needless to say, i have bought a lot of furniture and everything else you can imagine. given all that, this is without a doubt my favorite piece of furniture. i hope to keep this for a long long time. the wood is absolutely gorgeous and the construction offers the sturdiest piece of furniture i own. the drawers are smooth and although they don't hold much they are still great drawers. LOVE IT!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fit Space Well I bought this about 3 weeks ago, while it was not relatively cheap, it did fit the limited space I had well, it also is built well.  The drawers are not deep enough to accommodate DVD's or older VCR tapes on their edge so that the splines, where the titles are, are legible - thought this was an oversight in design for this type of unit

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth the price We got this to sit underneath a wall-mounted television and hold the DVR, DVD, modem and sound bar. For the price (plus shipping), it's totally not worth it. The holes that are in the unit are not through the back panel - they are in the back of the top shelf, and then output underneath the unit, so the cords would still be on the floor...we had to drill holes in the back to accommodate. The unit is a bit wobbly also - the metal legs sit up on the middle support bar. The wood is beautiful but is not finished, so would really show water rings if used for that. The drawers are too short to put DVDs spine up, which is totally inconvenient. Delivery took two weeks (and I contacted CB2 before they contacted me) and delivery crew didn't leave the wall-mounting hardware.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it, but wish drawers were a little deeper! I really like the look of this piece and am glad that I purchased it, however I was surprised to discover when I started to put my DVDs inside the drawers, that they would not fit with their spines facing upwards. I ended up stacking them all in there, making it hard to find the one I want to watch. I've actually just bought zippered DVD wallets to store the DVDs in instead because of this problem - which will work fine, but I do feel that a unit which is obviously built to hold a TV and DVD player does not have deep enough drawers to store DVDs in this common way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I love this media console! My 32' flat screen TV fits nicely on top of it, but it's big enough that I can easily upgrade to a larger TV in the future. The drawers are not that big, but there's plenty of space to hold all my work-out DVDs. The wood grain is definitely unique, but I love that it is so varied in color because it works well with everything else in my room. I purchased the John floor lamp and Foundry C table, as both of those are in the same iron finish as the "legs" of this console.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from gorgeous but... This TV console is beautiful, we love the look. However, it's not convenient as the back is completely covered. You have to put some effort to pass the cables. And, there is no cable storage. They could provide cable storage with slightly shorter drawers. I would still recommend though. It's beautiful, and you just need to set up once.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I just received the prime media console and I love it. It is even better in person. Not sure what the earlier reviewer was talking about with regards to "weird wood." It is made of a natural wood with a strong grain, so I think it is rather unrealistic to expect a uniform looking wood grain. I think it adds character to the piece and helps it stand out from all of the other boring media consoles out there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple, Solid-Wood Piece I realized after comparing a few media consoles that solid wood consoles do not come cheap. However, I do believe the Prime Media Console is a good value with its smooth wood and solid craftsmanship.I ordered the console over the phone from my local CB2 after seeing it in store once and picked it up at the store. It was a pleasant surprise that the unit came fully assembled in its cardboard box.The color is a lighter, golden-brown. The drawers are well-assembled and glide easily. The back of the unit is solid wood as well and it would look great if you decided to float the unit in a room. The wires from your cable box/DVD player are directed to slots that come out under the bottom of the drawers and are relatively well concealed.Compared to a few other consoles that I've seen, this unit has a simple design (no frills), but it suits a modern living space well. I currently have a 42" TV on it, but the stand looks like it could easily accomodate something larger well.
