Some things to consider...
I bought my first pouf about 4 years ago. It was AWESOME. Everyone loved it, kids play with it all the time, it has great color and texture (I liked the red orange color and it worked great for me).
However, after a very short period, it lost its shape, ENTIRELY! No one can sit on it, or rest a foot on it, it has turned to mush and with the combination of yarn collecting dust from the floor, and impossible form to keep looking nice, it is getting tossed into the family room and out of our living room.
BUT, the newer generation is far more sturdy and so far has kept its form very nicely. I can't tell you how nice it is to have this pouf back in our living room, adding color and fun to the space.
Some things to keep in mind;
- It's not exactly red, and its not exactly orange, something in between. Still fun and bright.
- The texture of yarn is great, but it is very difficult to clean once it gets dusty and it does collect a lot of dust bunnies and lint due to it being pushed around and rolled on.
- It may or may not lose its shape. If you want something soft and mailable, maybe this isn't for you. But, after a few years it could turn to mush, if that's what you are looking for.
All in all, I love this pouf, I think its one of the best deals out there and the color is great.
Many of my friends have purchased this after they saw mine, see it first in person if you are picky.

Well-made, but slightly darker in person.
As many reviewers mentioned, this pouf does come across slightly darker than the pictures... but it still works well with the majority of the cb2 products with the redish/orange accent color.
Other than that, it's very pretty and well-made. Definitely recommended.

great pouf
This is a great little pouf. Works perfectly to sit on or put your feet on. The color is more red than orange - darker than the image on the screen.

great looking and functional
I saw these poufs in magazines and loved them but didn't like the price until I found them in CB2. Great price and great quality!

Burst of color
Absolutely love this piece, Added the pop of color I needed, a very rich orange/red and the texture makes it very unique. Looks beautiful in my slate gray room!

Turned out to be just what I wanted.
When I first looked at this online it looked like a soft and squishy bean-bag ottoman, but it is actually very firm which makes it useful as either a stool or a side/coffee table. Our kids love sitting on it, and the color was a little more red than orange (as others have said on their reviews) but that was not a drawback for us.

bummer: hard, and primary red in color
Wow; I didn't pick up on the complaints about the color in other reviews: This arrived today and there's nothing orange about it. It's straight-up, primary RED.
It's also pretty much hard as a rock. I was planning to use as an ottoman/footstool for nursing or at my desk, but it kind of feels like a large soccer ball underfoot. There's no give or softness at all.
Sad to return it; been eyeing these for ages.

Not the right color
I agree with the others who have said this pouf is really red and not at all orange. I returned mine.

Amazing Texture
I purchased these for a Lounge Grouping within a Commons space for an Office Building. I wanted to add punches of color and texture and these Poufs were the perfect compliment!!

loved it so much I just ordered a 2nd pouf
Very versatile addition to my house. I use it as extra seating, a coffee table (with a tea tray placed on top), foot rest, perch for my cat and toy for a 2 year-old. I was worried that the cat hair would cling to it, but after 4 months with 2 cats it still looks new.

Awesome!
This little pouf is amazing! gorgeous blood orange colour (so a bright, slightly pale red...not rust), nice firm fill, and so easy to move around the room!
I haven't had mine for long enough to know if it squishes down too much. Some have complained about the colour being too red, but that's what blood orange is. Also, to keep the bottom from getting dirty, you can get a piece of same-coloured felt from the fabric store, and cut it to fit the inside of the part hidden by the floor. That way, when I slide it around, it doesn't get dirt on the actual pouf, and the felt sort of "sticks" to the knit of the pouf, so you don't have to sew it or anything. I can just take the felt off, and wash it as-needed! I just wish it were a tiny bit larger around, and that the cover were removable and at least hand-washable (like with a draw-string bottom). That's the only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5.

Cherry Red
These are cherry red, not a hint of orange. Very sad. Returning it tomorrow.

Color not at expected
I was very excited when my package arrived in the mail this morning, until I opened it and saw the pouf is very RED. There is nothing orange about it. The photo online does not accurately depict the color of the product. I'll be returning this in exchange for the blue one.

Blood orange is really RED!
The poufs just arrived this week.... Although I am happy with the size, firmness, and design, I am very dissapointed by the color. It is not orange as pictured - it is RED.

Love it, hate it
I loved the pouf. I purchased two. They received tons of compliments. They make for great leg rests or additional seats. I recently moved into a new place with tiled floors, and my love quickly turned to hate. No matter how well I cleaned my place (and I swept all the time), the poufs collected every bit of hair, dirt, and debris from the floor -- and there is no easy way to clean them. Both of them are ruined now (which I think is a major design flaw). So, in short, they work best on carpet or in places where there isn't high traffic (no kids, no pets!).

Fun piece that does not keep its shape well
We put this ottoman in a modern but informal living room as extra seating near the coffee table. The texture and color of the piece are great - it's somewhere between red and orange, and the chunky knit is attractive without seeming overpowering. The problem I'm having is that I constantly have to "fluff" it so that it returns to its original shape. It flattens considerably when you sit on it and worse still, it bends out of shape asymmetrically so that one side will be flatter than the others. When someone stands up, it looks like a large, over-ripe tomato has been plunked on the floor. It's an attractive piece when freshly poufed up, but the constant adjustments make it more high-maintenance that I would like.

cool!
Ths is really more red than orange. It's firm, so great for seating or footrest. Our toddler loves pushing it around, and we love putting our feet up. We get so many compliments, and it's a happy piece.

Versatile and cute
Online, it looks like this could be a soft and squishy bean-baggy type ottoman, but it's really very firm which makes it useful as either a stool or a side/coffee table. The color choices are great- these are very cute, especially when paired with another in grouping.

Love my poufs!
The poufs are fabulous. First thing everyone notices in our living room. We didn't have room for the large ottoman we wanted so these were perfect. They are sturdier than you think. Perfect for feet, sitting, and small kids! Good thing we got 2 since we all fight over them :)

Thrilled!
A colorful firm fun perch for kids and adults alike!
