Perfect!
I bought this kit only for the shade. It was the best priced shade of this size with a diffuser that I could find. I used a converter kit from Lowes that screws into the light socket of a recessed light to convert it into a pendant light. The shades that fit the converter kit were not my style, so I bought this shade instead. It gives off a nice muted light (perfect for dining), but it isn't extremely bright. I had trouble getting the diffuser on and was worried it wouldn't stay, but it finally just popped right in and hasn't fallen yet (it's been a few weeks). I'm very happy with this shade and would definitely recommend it.

Love the look
So my fiancé actually finagled with the cord some what. Instead of mounting the light and having to plug it in, he wired it into the ceiling, replacing the old foyer light, and I love the way it looks. The width and height of the drum is perfect for the size of the entry way. The opening around the bottom of the drum gives a modern, almost futuristic glow look when the light is turned on. If you want a clean, modern, and white look like us, then make sure to use a light bulb that gives off a white light and not a yellow.
We couldn't have found a better light, for a better price!

Its has a plug cord?
Other than the fact that i didnt know that the cord is to be plugged into a jack , i love it,
The rest was super easy to put together, comes with everything including bulb . The diffused fabric gives off a beautiful glow, easy on the eyes and perfect for quiet relaxing dinners.
and the price , a super bargain

Looks great. Easy to install. Reasonable price for the high quality lamp. Two minor complaints: the cord switch is too close to the plug. On most ceilings that means it hangs at knee to floor level. Also the bulb that it comes with takes a couple minutes to fully warn up to a white light from a yellowish hue.

Ok but not what I was looking for
I didn't read the specifications clearly. This has an inline toggle switch and plugs into an outlet, it is not hard wired. I got this looking to replace the light over my kitchen table, but the diameter was a bit to small. Overall I like the look and quality of the lamp just wasn't right for my application.

eden pendant lamp
Love it, great price! Have it in a corner of my living room and added a brighter bulb,75watt. It's plugged into an outlet that I can control by a switch when coming into the room. It would be nicer to have it hard wired and not have a cord showing but couldn't be done in that spot. Cord does blend pretty well into the corner of the room though.

Will buy this again
We bought this lamp to place over our table in our kitchen nook. I agree with other posters that the light it gives off is definitely for accent purposes, but that didn't cause us any problems since we have plenty of light in the kitchen.
We have received many compliments on this light and plan to buy it again when we move into our new house. Looks much more expensive than it is.

Superb Lamp
We bought this to replace an ageing and anemic ceiling fan that not only cast a pallor over family meals but also cooled our food unnecessarily with its insistent downdraft. I wanted a lamp that would--a la "A Pattern Language"--create a pool of light that defined and illuminated the space around the dining room table. Sounds pretentious, but it is actually quite pleasant.
The lamp is of the plug in variety but it was simple to cut the plug and attach the wires to the power supply in the ceiling. A simple cover was purchased at a local lighting supplier and viola! killer dining room.
Beats a crystal chandelier. I love it like I'd love our family dog if he were stylish and only required occasional vacuuming.

Just what I wanted!
I purchased three eden pendant lamp, two for over my dining table, and one for my livingroom area. The lamps goes well with my decor I had allready. I'm really glad I bought them. Love cb2:).

Beautiful, affordable lamp
We bought this light for our son's nursery before he was born. My husband spliced it into the overhead wiring and installed a dimmer switch. He says that you don't need to be a master electrician to do this, but need some understanding of wiring, etc. We received so many compliments on it and loved it so much that we recently purchased another one for above our dining room table. We have the same setup in the dining room as in our son's room and it's really nice. The light is soft and pretty, and it's a nice, modern look. I looked around for other lights like this and didn't see anything nearly as affordable. This is a super deal- buy one (or two...or three)!

Love my new CB2 light!
This affordable lamp has made me finally look at my dining room and feel like I can not only SEE but feel like a 40 yr. old with taste & style, rather than a still struggling 40 yr. old who has a mish-mash of handed down family items mixed with cherished art of all types! Now, the mish-mash is lit and accentuated beautifully!

Great light
I love this lamp. We ordered it online and it shipped all the way to Hawaii quickly. It is a great size and color. My only complaint is that it is pretty dim lighting. It works for our family room but if you want it as a main light source in an area you want to be well lit I wouldn't recomend it.

Fantastic Pendant Lamp
This lamp is so sincerely simple, yet makes a bold statement as a lamp and decorator piece. Easy to hang, and looks like it was expensive when it is actually very reasonable.
