Great Alternative to Stone Work!
Love this stone mat! You get a foot massage while you brush your teeth in the morning!!

Very nice
Beautiful. I don't know what ppl expect. It is rocks glued to a mat. Looks very nice. Wish they'd include a small tube of glue. When it arrived it had a couple rocks missing. They were right in the box. Had to use my gorilla glue to stick back on. I hope they stay in place when we begin to use it. You can also see some glue in between rocks. Not too noticeable. It's a very cool looking mat for the price. no major complaints.

Disappointed
I spent a few days planning out how I was going to decorate my bathroom in my new apartment with a lot of help from the CB2 site. So when it came time to purchase the products in-store, I was totally prepared, had a list with me of everything I wanted. This was one of the things, of course. The pictures are very cool. I bought the 50-ton bath mat and lugged it home. After putting it on the floor and taking a look at it, I noticed the same thing a lot of others have noticed: the mat in the picture on the site is not what they actually sell. At least, not anymore. The mat I have has lots of space between the stones that are hot glued to a large sheet of black foam. I would take it back if it weren't so dang heavy. Plus it's still an attractive piece. It just doesn't add to the decor the way I wanted it to.

seriously?
The CB2 showroom i visited featured these mats in their showroom. They were beautiful and I knew right there that I'd purchase these to put around the house. When you order these online you get something quite different from what's in their showroom. Also quite different from the very picture on their labels. Had to return all 3, which was a royal pain. They must have changed their manufacturer as the mats are awful - gaping spaces between rocks that are hot gun glued to a piece of inky foam. Cheap and unusable indoors or out. In short useless. Save your time and money and skip on these."

What a piece of garbage
I can't wait to return this piece of garbage. It doesn't like anything like the photo. It's gigantic rocks glued to a piece of fabric. And there's, like, an inch between each rock so you can see the glue all over the place. Besides that, it's a DOOR MAT not a bath mat. And not like the kind of door mat that could pass as a bath mat. It's gross and super disappointing. I can't believe that CB2 sells this thing.

terrible
If you are expecting to receive anything close to what you see in the photos you will be disappointed. Not only are there large gaps between the stones where you can see the felt backing, but the stones themselves are unattractive looking. As I said nothing like what you see in the pictures. I would like to return this, but I'm not sure it's worth the hassle.

Not the same
I recently reordered this mat to add to two of these mats I already had. They must have changed their manufacturer or construction method as it doesn't match the older versions very well. The stone are spaced out a lot further apart, making for unslightly gaps. Also they changed the base from felt like material to a rubber type. Disappointed

Modernization
This is the second pebble mat that I purchased for my son's bathroom and it feels great to the touch and it gives the bathroom a modern spa look. The mat is quite heavy but it was a wonderful addition to the room.

Great for the patio!
I'm redoing my patio and this mat was the perfect finishing touch. It's durable and adds a little zen to the space.

love this but flawed
love this mat but it arrived with one of the stones already fallen off the glue... which for the price is a bummer... who wants to worry about the stones falling off when you pay 50 bucks for it... just sayin... does look cool tho...

Love this mat---very zen!
This mat was a great purchase. I haven't had any problems with the stones coming off. It's a really great accent piece! FYI: it's heavy. So if you are picking it up from the store have someone to help!

Makes a great doormat!
We have had this pebble rug as our front doormat to our mid-century modern ranch home for several years now and it still looks great! I have rinsed it off with the hose a few times and none of the stones have come off. People often comment on it, and it really finishes off our front porch.

Modern, fun and durable
Bought two of these -- use one as a bath mat in master bath and one in guest bath. They attract a lot of attention. Not the best for "drying" feet - but are comfy to stand on and very unique. Have had no issues with keeping them clean (a handheld attachment to vacuum with helps) and no issues with them getting wet. Fun, mod and *very* heavy!

pebble mat
The pebbles were falling, not properly attached to the mat

good, not great
The product image online (and on the removable tag attached to the mat itself) is misleading. I echo previous reviewers when I say that there are fewer rocks, and farther between, on the mat I received.
I estimate there are 30-40% fewer rocks on my mat than are pictured in the online image.
It would appear that the manufacturer spent an hour or two plotting out the ideal specimen and then photographed it -- that's the image we see (and that's the image that has compelled me to purchase the mat). In comparison, the mat I received probably took several minutes to create. The stones are not methodically arranged, they're haphazardly stuck on -- and that makes for a poor use of space on the face of the mat. There are gaps where I can fit several fingers in, and I'm a very big guy.
Despite the disappointment of the overall aesthetic of the mat, I enjoy the idea of it so much that I do not want to abandon it. At $45 it was affordable and it feels really spectacular under the feet. The foam mat that the rocks are glued on (and, yeah, you can see the shiny glue) provides a lot of cushion, so the experience of stepping on the mat is quite comfortable. But you see far too much of that foam under mat. It's essentially black, whereas the stones are gray -- so be sure that black works with your decor (it doesn't really work with mine, but I will certainly live through it).
I'm considering buying some smaller stones to fill in the gapes myself. That could potentially improve the aesthetic appeal dramatically.

Awesome Pebble Mat
I purchased 2 of these mats at the same time... One of them has smaller / closer together stones & the other has larger / further apart stones. I have to say I like them both. They definitely get noticed by and complemented on when you have company over. I'm using them as inside door mats for now (they feel great on bare feet) so the bathroom mat idea sounds good too. I waited for a "free shipping" deal to come along before ordering as they are really heavy!

Beautiful Mat
I saw this mat and had to buy it. I thought the stones might be too "high" and there might be a tripping issue, but it is not the case. It is perfect, beautiful and trendy. I put it at my back door which leads to my patio and it pops and looks beautiful. I highly recommend.

Overpriced and Fake
Pebbles aren't close as it appear on online. When I got this item shipped, Two of the Pebbles fell apart.

Textural greatness!
Love this mat! Used it in a client of mine's home as her bath mat, and had to go get one for myself! It dries fast, unlike regular fabric mats, and it iIslas some weight to it so it doesn't move around any. It is a beautiful texture for a spa like bath. With regards to looks, the rocks have space in between and aren't as close as in the picture.

Awesome
So simple, but such a great way to bring the outdoors in and the indoors out. I've had mine for a while and it is holding up well. Good quality. Wish I could cover the whole porch with them.
