Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great modern metal planters These look great on my second floor porch. I have a skinny railing and the planter with frame (don't even think about getting these without the frame) fits pretty snug and secure on the rail. There are so many wood and plastic planters our there and these are unique and eye-catching especially with some bright plants.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't work on Circular Railing Bought the planter only because the store had two planters, but no frames, and I couldn't order the frames online or in the store. The hooks are so flimsy and mounted at the top of the planter, so its impossible to hang on a round railing without it tipping at almost a 90 degree angle

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 50% satisfied ... I bought the 2 rectangular planters - which I LOVE - but didn't bother with the frames because I wasn't sure if I was going to need them of not. Well, turns out that I do (go figure). My problem? CB2 is completely sold out of the frames ... at EVERY location. A very helpful store employee of Toronto's Queen and Bathurst store helped me try to locate some, but no luck. Now I have no clue what to do. I don't want to return the planters because they're really nice, but I don't feel comfortable hanging them for a long period of time without more support. HELP! Where can I find a similar frame that will fit this product? Please, CB2 - start selling items like these together so your customers don't run into these types of issues. Talk about a headache.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from perfect for a wide variety of railings I was skeptical about the square hinges working on my circular (bar) rail but I slightly bent the hinges in and it worked like a charm. Great for all sorts of plants/herbs and like other reviewers already mentioned - if it had drainage holes it would of been 5 stars.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from looks nice, but rail frame didn't fit As other reviewers said, there are no drainage holes, so those need to be done by the buyer. Also, the rail frame is very cheap and has rusted through the white finish a little since purchasing them last spring. The frame did not fit over my railing, so with some hammering, I was able to be make it work over a privacy fence on our porch. Other than these issues, I do like the overall look of them. They are true to the images on the website.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sleek balcony planters I bought two of these for my balcony. So much more aesthetically-pleasing, modern than any other window box-type planters. However, they do not come with holes in the bottom for drainage. Fortunately, the metal is not thick and we were able to punch two holes in the bottom of each using nails and a hammer. The other drawback is the hooks. When the planter gets heavy with soil and plants, the weight can bend them leaving them somewhat precariously situated. We were able to rig them securely to the balcony using twine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from ideal for herb garden Rosemary, thyme, basil, & parsley....These ledge planters make ideal receptacles for your window herb garden. FYI: You'll need to drill a hole for drainage, otherwise stellar product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from functional I really like these with the exception that there are no drain holes. after a hard rain I have to tilt them to drain the water

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for my porch I had been looking for planter boxes with an industrial feel EVERWHERE. Luckily I found them here, and for a great value! My only disappointment was that the rail hooks aren't very wide so I had to bend it to make it work with my railing. Otherwise, I love this product and have gotten many compliments on them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for I bought the planter and frame and have found them to be sturdy and good-looking. I was able to bend the metal hanger slightly so that it would fit snugly over my balcony railing and it's been nice and secure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for a beautiful cacti garden I bought this a few weeks back and am so thrilled with the planter box, that I amordering another online. The size is is great for planting multiple plants and looksparticularly great with plants that drape over the front. There are no holes in thebottom for water release, meaning there is no dripping or water spots left behind. My only suggestions would be to be:1. Be sure to buy both pieces-- planter box and frameThe planter box alone will not support a lot of weight.2. You will want to buy at least two of these-- to keep things balanced in your outdoorspace.Great product at a very reasonable price!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks nice I bought two rail planters a year ago. They held up well through the seasons (I stored them during the winter). I agree the planter and frame should probably be considered one item. Also, I wish the planter had some kind of drainage system. I put a couple holes in the bottom myself.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for small patio I really like this planter and the look. My only concern is I don't think the built in hooks would support it without the frame which is sold separately. It is very solid with the frame but I would have preferred they were sold as a set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality for the price! I needed planters that were both affordable and practical. This fit the bill, so I bought 6. I couldn't be more pleased.
