Fairly good product
I bought this planter to use as an outdoor herb garden. The planter is the perfect size for this and looks great. I wish the planter was slightly more sturdy and I wish there were drainage holes. Overall though, I am satisfied with my purchase.

Planters are nice
I was so excited when I saw these planters on line because I knew they would be versatile. I was a little disappointed that the boxes were more grayish in color than they appeared on line. I actually bought some spray paint and was going to spray then black because I thought they would look more substantial but didn't get around to it. I also was disappointed that i would have to drill drainage hole in the boxes. This is no problem for someone who has a drill and knows how to use it, but am not that someone.
Generally, I love CB2 and will keep the planters, but just not as pleased as usual.

Great Planters!
Purchased 8 of these planters for our smallish balcony - 6' x 13' space and they are pretty great. They hold a lot of plants while taking up a small small spacial footprint and are attractive.
I have 3 of the long rectangular - they are really the size of a standard rail plantbox, 3 of the medium height and 2 of the short planters. they look good grouped together or can easily be moved as needed to get the sun. Another nice thing is that the square planters have the same dimension inserts, so you can easily swap from short to taller stand if needed after planting. I was also pleased that these came pre-assembled.
The only drawback is that I wish they had drainage holes, I had to drill them out for planting. But that only took like 3 minutes.

Handsome and handy planters
I first saw these in the CB2 in San Francisco filled with succulents and knew I needed to get some. They make plants look great and provide a nice elevation. You can water without worrying about the table surface. They look great in groups indoors or out. I have one in my brownstone parlor and am getting more for my deck. Look equally good with arts and crafts or modern furnishings.
