overview

key to the mini bar. Mini-priced mini bar (minus the overpriced macadamia nuts) designed by Mash Studios. Streamlined woodsy cabinet washed in a sheer grey stain inventories a fully stocked bar. Bottles and barware stash behind doors: left hides one fixed cubby shelf over removable X wine rack; right conceals one fixed shelf, exposes one slim brushed aluminum pull. Bartending drawer for corkscrews, coasters, napkins, tools of the trade…maybe even a Toblerone. Wood composite case floats on plinth. Learn about the designer Mash Studios on our blog.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Greenish gray in person I saw this in the store and it was more of a gray color with a greenish tint. The tag on the piece actually said "Color: Grey stein". I wish it were dark brown or "charcoal" as advertised. Otherwise it looked nice.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Complicated Construction for the Cost It's a beautiful cabinet, when you finish it, but be mindful that it shows up in two boxes and there are nearly 100 small parts required to put it together. There is also very little information about which direction certain things should face (shelving, sides, etc.) and lacking that, putting it together will take more than an hour and a screw driver. For starters, the lack of information about which direction certain pieces should be facing (up, down?) makes the first few steps a bit difficult. While you're navigating the dimensions, those dozens of small parts don't stay put until the entire bar is assembled so keep an eye on the varies screws, dowels and clamps that keep falling out and rolling away.As your masterpiece comes together, also ensure you tighten the screws, but not too much, as the sum of the parts isn't actually all that stable as you add to it. If you over tighten the screws you risk not being able to fit the various pieces together so tighten them after you've totally assembled. All in, I was pleased with completing my Survivor-like task but not so much when I realized I just plunked down $400 for something I spent nearly 2 hours putting together and it still looks a little unstable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Price for Such a Versatile Mini Bar I bought two of the charcoal swig bars for my apartment - one to use as a mini bar, and one to use as storage. It's a very versatile and stylish piece of furniture that equally serves both functions (and the wine rack is removable if you choose to use only as storage). The finish is really unique and was actually one of the biggest selling points for me - the stain is light enough to show the wood grain, and the color is the perfect shade of grey / charcoal.I highly recommend this bar - it fits perfectly in a modern apartment, but because of the finish and minimal details, it could easily blend into a variety of decors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Minimalist Bar Bought this piece to consolidate all of our bar items in a smaller space, and it's perfect. The wood finish is beautiful and unique (it's charcoal with a greenish tint), and the functionality is ideal. It has plenty of space of heavy drinkers (like myself), without any of the unnecessary features that often accompany bars. I'm very happy with this item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I purchased this 2 weeks ago and couldn't be happier. It is an incredibly attractive yet functional piece. Assembly was relatively easy as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice looking-holds a lot This bar is perfect for our needs and it looks great. It wasn't as difficult to assemble as I thought it would be, but I think you probably need two people to do it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful mini bar We needed to have a mini bar that fits with the other CB2 furniture and then we saw the swig charcoal bar in the store. We received it after a couple of days. Assembly wasn't too difficult. The color is beautiful and it holds quite a lot of bottles. Another friend of mine bought the same product afterwards.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great but a couple of issues with the finish I bought this over a year ago and for the most part, it has turned out great. The storage is sturdy and works well. The only issue I have on this is the finish on the top. I have been having issues with discoloration if there is an item that is placed on it for too long

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Color is off While the piece is really a great size and fits a lot into it, the color is much lighter than what is pictured on the site. Suggest seeing it in person

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Mini Bar piece I bought this minibar as a birthday gift for my boyfriend and the furniture photo is very accurate to the actual piece. It's a really nice storage furniture for your booze and glass ware, we always get nice compliments about our good taste, but let's be honest and give the credit to the CB2 designers! :D

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Cabinet I purchased this a few weeks ago. It is well made, and for the most part pretty easy to assemble with the exception of hanging/aligning the doors. Once built, it's solid and works well; the only issue is that the drawer does not have mechanical glides so it is a bit clumsy sliding in and out on wood rails. Not a deal breaker but sub par compared to the rest of the fit and finish. My big concern is that I ordered it in the charcoal color, but it is in fact green. Olive green. I tried every kind of light. putting things next to it, and no matter what, it's definitely green. That's a bit of a problem so I'll have to return it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made! I have a previous version of this mini bar (in a slightly different color). It has lasted for years and I *still* love it!! Very well made, good quality materials, easy to assemble. Fits in great with Mid-Century Modern design. A+++!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice It's a great mini bar, holds all my liquor and glasses. Easy to put together and I'm not very handy. We have received several compliments from our house guests about this mini bar.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stylish and spacious Bought this last month after weeks looking around town for something that was affordable and yet stylish and could accomodate all of our barware and bottles. Beautiful modern finish that fits in with most contemporary decor. Modern but warm wood finish and styling are a perfect match to the rest of the decor in our new Chicago home.
