Solid Console
We were a bit apprehensive to purchase a $500 piece of furniture that still required assembly. After all, if one is going to pay this much, shouldn't it already come together?
Fortunately, assembly took no longer than an hour and CB2 gives pretty thorough, straightforward steps.
I love the mix of wood and metal. Both combine to make a modern, yet traditional piece that will endure the times. The sliding doors are great to hide cable sets, DVD players, etc. Moreover, there are holes at the bottom shelves to allow cables to slide thru; small detail, but very good one at that. The perforated white sliding door allows the remote to still send signals.
Live in NY where space is a commodity so this stand fits just right; not too big, but not too little.

Metal Alert
Great looking and functional piece that was very easy to assemble, although doing it by myself I failed to get one of the "fasteners" on the rear of the unit to close completely. Yes the remote controls won't work through the metal door. but there is enough room to use the other side, or leave that door open. It looks just as good.

Sleek and just what we needed
We searches high and low for the perfect media console and are happy with our purchase from CB2. Kind of a bear to put together and it was shipped it two pieces (two different deliveries/carriers) but worth it in the end. Product is sturdy and functional.

Sleek TV Stand
We purchased this stand after upgrading to a larger TV. We needed something that would cause the TV to take up less visible space. It worked. This stand is terrific. It is somewhat retro looking yet modern. Love the wood and white metal look. The only minor issue is that the doors seem to slide with slight resistance. They are still functional, just require a bit of effort. Overall - very satisfied with this purchase!

GREAT media console
we live in a small manhattan apartment but own a lot of AV gear. this console stores EVERYTHING--printer/scanner, DVD player, modem, cable box, DVDs, video game consoles, etc. etc.--and with minimal space consumption. the sliding doors are a great design feature, as we can place other furniture right up against it with no problem. the perforated door is also a great feature, as we can conceal all our wires and boxes and still operate the remote controls through the holes. very sturdy and streamlined.

Happy but beware!
We just finished putting together this unit, and while we are very happy with the product, our receiver does not fit in the unit. We are not able to fully open the second door over the receiver knobs. We therefore have a cabinet that only has one side that functions. I would suggest that you measure all your components before purchasing this item. We waited a long time for the Toronto store to open so we could purchase this item, and we just assumed it would accommodate all media components. It does however look great in our very modern living room.

fabulous look, little finesse for the function.
I love the look of this unit in my living room. As others have mentioned, getting the remotes to work through the white grid door takes a little bit of work. But once you find that sweet spot from the couch, you're good to go. A small price to pay for the sexy design of the unit.

Remote doesn't work through grid
The center looks great and wasn't that difficult to put together, but when we close the grid our remote doesn't work through the white grid, so we have to leave it open, which ruins the reason that we bought it. Also, putting the tv on top made it difficult to open the door, but when we changed which door we put in front that fixed that problem.

Great mod addition to our living room
Love the look of this piece. Fits perfectly with our mid-century house and furniture. Easy to assemble and very sturdy. Remotes work very well through the punched hole metal panel.

Very happy!!!
So happy with this console. Very easy to put together. Love that I can keep the console closed and still operate the cable box due to the dotted perforation side. Very happy with the purchase. Great storage with great style.

looks great
We purchased 2 to put side by side and hold our electronic components, games, videos, etc. It even holds the subwoofer behind the ventilated door - which is great! In hindsight, because we have 2 ,we could have put both white doors on the inside, so it looks less like 2 separate units, but it still looks perfect in our 1977 contemporary home.

Good looks, decent value
We just bought this for our living room, and love the designey look. It's pretty sturdy, but basically required complete assembly, so be prepared to spend an hour or so putting it together. Also, with the television on top the doors can be difficult to open/close.

Awesome unique modern media console!
My husband and I give this five stars because it's simply a uniquely awesome piece of furniture! It was easy to assemble between the two of us. We ended up putting both shelves on the right side so the left side could accommodate an Xbox and photo albums.
The only minor issue we experience was that upon opening the shipments, two pieces were damaged. However, CB2 was wonderful and made the replacement process a breeze. I called right away to report the damage and they immediately processed the replacement pieces to be shipped out to me and arrived four days later. Depending on the situation they will either schedule a pickup for the damaged piece (S&H covered by them) or I could dispose of the item myself.
Thank you CB2 for being wonderful to work with. I will not hesitate to purchase again!
