Not very sturdy but very pretty
A very pretty decorative book case. Assembling was not easy as it was difficult to align the screws. Also shakes when books are placed on it. Not sure how long the tiny screws at the base will hold before the book case collapses. Can only be used for paperback books. No hard covers.

Very versatile, perfect for tight spaces
Bought one, then had to have a second one. I us one for a bookcase in a small spot between a dresser and a wall. I bought a second one for towels and washcloths in a small bathroom. Works very well for both applications.

Great product
i ordered this bookcase for my home office because it looked fun, didn't take up much room and still seemed to hold a lot of books. It worked out great. It's super easy to install and worked perfectly in the space.

Getting Organized
Great simple design, fits in perfectly with my eclectic boho/hacienda style. Intelligent way to display an array of sentimental books and DVDs. Highly recommend getting one...or two!

Love It!!!
I got the shelf in orange. It is very easy to put together (took about 5 mins.) , well made and looks great. It wont quite hold larger books (which is why it only got a 4 rating) but for smaller ones I highly recommend it.

Second one we've bought!
I have given this bookcase as a gift to both of our daughters-
they love them, one has orange, the other silver and they both look super, were easy for them to assemble and will last them a lifetime!
Both the girls use them for games, not books, but they make for quick access to colorful fun on game night.

Not what I expected
Not steel as described. Not as strong as I'd like.

Sideways satisfaction
This is a nice little piece. If you have lots of books, a standard bookcase might be better, but if their number is not too great this is fine, for example, to keep a supply of reading near your easy chair. The catalog photo has the books mounted spines backward, probably a whim of the set designer. You would want the books stored spines outward. One advantage of the sideways arrangement is that it is indifferent to the size of the books; paperbacks and coffee table books can be mixed. If a book is too thick, just remove a shelf.
If you pick it up at the store, you will get two cartons, one not too large, the other quite long and heavy. It won't fit in the trunk of a full-sized car; you can squeeze it into the back seat, perhaps by opening a window or sun roof. Drive home carefully.
Assembly is dead simple, after having removed the packing materials. The little plastic caps are to protect the tabs on the shelves in transit. The base is simply screwed onto the shaft with two bolts, supplied, and an Allen wrench, supplied. The instructions recommend having an assistant; I concur. Probably the best way is to stand the shaft upside-down on the floor and have your assistant hold it. Test the bolts in the screw holes to clear the threads, then invert the base and fasten it down. Turn it right-side up, place it where you want it, and the shelves then slot in easily.
If your floor slopes a bit you may find that the tower, when viewed in profile, leans a bit. Go to your hardware store and get a supply of small plastic wedges that are used to shim up furniture, and put a couple under the stand. Carefully placed, they will not be visible.
The stand is available in either silver or orange. Silver is for wimps; get the orange.

Excellent Design
I bought this for my home office because I liked the simple design and the small footprint. It was super easy to put together and suprisingly holds quite a few books for its smaller size. I'm thinking about buying a second one.

Great Buy
We live in a tiny apartment and own a lot of books. This is a space saver and a life saver. It holds a ton -- I have nearly 100 paperback stored in this thing, which has about a one-foot footprint. It's sturdy and was super easy to assembled. Now I don't have to give up my book habit just to save square footage.

Great product, just needs to be taller!
I purchased this bookcase because of the simplicity and the size. It's not bulky and fits in my small one bedroom apartment very well. However, only after a couple of months I have already filled it up. I just would like it to be a little taller to fit a few more racks on it. I also have it in orange which goes with some original art work on my wall. Great piece just needs a little more storage space added to it.

Awesome and Stylish Bookcase!
I have been living with the array silver bookcase for quite some time and it provides a surprising capacity for books in a stylish and sturdy package. PS. It has very little footprint as well which is a great plus for small spaces.

Cool, well-made
Ordered this instead of a bookcase (of which I already have too many) for the entry of my small apartment. Looks great loaded with books; unusual and attention grabbing. Don't know that I would try to display a collection of antique unabridged dictionaries on it, but it seems plenty sturdy enough to me loaded up with a full complement of more reasonably sized hardbacks and a few paperbacks. Very easy to assemble, and cleverly enough designed that it will be easy to disassemble and store when I have to move.
Someone else remarked that it's expensive -- perhaps it is if you're looking for the maximum book storage per dollar, but if you think of it more as a sculpture with some useful function rather than an inferior bookcase substitute I think it's a good bargain.

Excellent Vertical Bookcase!
I had my doubts that it would be sturdy. It is sturdy, functional, and attractive! I love it!
