Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect For Balconies! I purchased two of the 28" planters to place on the balconies of my condo. I like that they are made from galvanized metal so I will be able to enjoy them for years to come. I planted them with flowers this time to bring some color to a very drab area but they will look just as good (or better) planted with succulents. Perfect!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect modern plant container I bought two of these planters a couple of months ago and liked them so much I ordered two more. Their bronze finish matches my modern loft railing perfectly and their narrow shape and height allow more greenery up off the floor, making room for potted plants. Because I live in Florida and have to move everything off the balcony when we have storms, the fact that the planter lifts out of the base makes it easy. The only drawback is that you need to provide good drainage without boring holes in the container, but I'm working on that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great planters We bought two of the larger planters. Initially we were disappointed they didn't have drainage holes, however we easily punched a couple of holes with a screwdriver. After a few months of usage our plants/herbs are thriving and they look fantastic on our deck. We will be purchasing another two we like them so much.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect height for herb garden So despite the lack of drainage holes, I've drilled my own teeny ones, transferred my herb garden and everything looks great!! I love planters like this where they are human height. I got the long one and it fits 5 of my herb plants nicely.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks great I love the clean lines of this planter. Like other reviewers, disappointed there is no drainage hole, but the planters look great! No assembly required.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great metal planter! This is a great contemporary planter. I bought 2 for an herb garden on my deck. They are light weight but I put rocks in the bottom for weight and drainage. Plants are growing great and they haven't blown over.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really nice planter This has been a great complement to the more traditional planters we have in our garden. It's aged nicely (we've own it for a year), but is showing some signs of wear (understandably).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Clean Lines I love the clean lines and simple design of these planters. I bought the smaller size for my patio and plan on buying 5 of the larger size to place under each window of my front courtyard. The powdercoat finish looks like it will make the product resistant to rust, but time will tell. I knocked one star off simply because there are no drainage holes. Other than that, I love this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Modern Looking Planters - Love Them I bought two of these planters -- one in each -- size last summer and am very pleased with them. They fit in very well with the modern look of our house and I receive many compliments on them. They are kept inside and have not rusted, but they do havesome white stains on the top edges next to the soil which I presume is from salt or minerals in the soil or water. It is not objectionable, however, and overall I am extremelypleased with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pops the yellow wall in my backyard I have both the long planter and the single planter filled with succulents that look real but aren't. Mixed in with very tall pittosporum trees, it is right behind a couch and looks fantastic!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from looked great, but now rusting I really liked these planters when I got them. But unfortunately they are now getting oxidized - i.e. they've developed white patches (like rusting, but not rust colored) and the top layer of metal seems to be dissolving. I am so disappointed they are not water resistant (its an outdoor planter afterall!).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fairly good product I bought this planter to use as an outdoor herb garden. The planter is the perfect size for this and looks great. I wish the planter was slightly more sturdy and I wish there were drainage holes. Overall though, I am satisfied with my purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Planters are nice I was so excited when I saw these planters on line because I knew they would be versatile. I was a little disappointed that the boxes were more grayish in color than they appeared on line. I actually bought some spray paint and was going to spray then black because I thought they would look more substantial but didn't get around to it. I also was disappointed that i would have to drill drainage hole in the boxes. This is no problem for someone who has a drill and knows how to use it, but am not that someone.Generally, I love CB2 and will keep the planters, but just not as pleased as usual.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Planters! Purchased 8 of these planters for our smallish balcony - 6' x 13' space and they are pretty great. They hold a lot of plants while taking up a small small spacial footprint and are attractive.I have 3 of the long rectangular - they are really the size of a standard rail plantbox, 3 of the medium height and 2 of the short planters. they look good grouped together or can easily be moved as needed to get the sun. Another nice thing is that the square planters have the same dimension inserts, so you can easily swap from short to taller stand if needed after planting. I was also pleased that these came pre-assembled.The only drawback is that I wish they had drainage holes, I had to drill them out for planting. But that only took like 3 minutes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handsome and handy planters I first saw these in the CB2 in San Francisco filled with succulents and knew I needed to get some. They make plants look great and provide a nice elevation. You can water without worrying about the table surface. They look great in groups indoors or out. I have one in my brownstone parlor and am getting more for my deck. Look equally good with arts and crafts or modern furnishings.
