silk road. Handwoven of silk sari remnants salvaged from textile mills in the Bangalore region of southern India, each of these dhurrie rugs has an inner energy and luminescence that light up the room. Through an intricate, multi-step process that can take up to 20 artisans one week to complete, fabric is selected by color, sorted and handspun on a traditional punja loom. Woven with the rich texture and sheen of silk, tonal greys align with variegated shades of black and white in a palette and pattern unique to each rug.
How will it look in your room? 12"x12" rug samples are available in stores for a fee refundable upon return of the sample.
