hancock white bookcase is rated 4.8621 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesomely Unique and Classy I've had my Hancock bookcase for about a year now, and love that it looks good both tucked in a corner as well as sticking out as more of a focal point in the room. The cross bars in the back are both an awesome allusion to a pretty spectacular building as well as a good safety mechanism for when I've gotten a little too ambitious in how much I think I can put on the shelves. Also, it's pretty light and easy to move, while simultaneously sturdy enough to manage being thrown around a little. Definitely a great apartment piece.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful addition to the living room I have this bookcase in carbon grey color. It is sturdy and beautiful with minimalist design in industrial look. I bought two of these and placed them side by side and arranged books, vases, photo frames in it. Although tall, it doesn't look bulky. The design looks even more beautiful with the varying shelves sizes. The leveler at the bottom is helpful to keep it stable. The finishing of this product is excellent. It can hold lot of heavyweight books. Doesn't have any sharp corners. Extremely easy to assemble/disassemble it. I would highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality and design! This bookcase is very sturdy and looks great. We used one shelf as a bar and the open, airy design really showcases everything. The deep shelves hold a lot of stuff and my husband assembled it in less than 30 min.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great open style bookcase! I bought this for my office and it goes great with all the other furniture. I love the open concept style. Most of the furniture pieces in my office are a wood and metal mix and this bookcase adds a nice contrast. Also helps the office look brighter and larger. I have some pretty heavy books on the bottom but I keep the book count low so I can also display items. It takes up a little more space than I imagined, since the bottom gets wide. I thought the back would be flush with the wall but it leans forward a little bit, which is intentional. Assembly is way easier with two people, which I recommend. The quality seems right for the price, the crossing back definitely helps and I like how it looks. Feet are adjustable which is a big plus, I have carpeted floors and I always need to adjust leg height to make things look straight. You'll need bookends, I use some of my display items to act as book ends and I also stack my books on some of the shelves.I'm glad they came out with this in white, I've seen earlier versions in other colors, but I think white is a great color for this style.Overall, super happy with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from sturdy, can hold a lot This item is sturdy and seems to be well made. It can hold a lot and looks more interesting than most stand up bookshelves. The legs on the bottom can be adjusted so if you have uneven floors, that won't be a problem. This is a great option for people that don't want bookshelves that need to be attached to the wall (like me). Assembly was easy, I did it by myself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this unit!! I bought two of these shelving units and put them side-by-side in my apartment. I ended up moving two months later into a less contemporary space, and was worried my new bookshelves wouldn't look as cool. They are amazing! They look even better in the new house. They are sleek and chic! Because the shelves get wider as you go to the bottom, you have a ton of storage space, without the shelving units looking bulky at all. I love em!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy & Beautiful! This bookcase was easy to build, is exceptionally sturdy and really shows off whatever you place on it. It looks really beautiful in our living room and doesn't take up too much space. The only reason for a four star review however, is that I didn't realize how far away from the wall it sits. It is in an A-line shape and doesn't lean against the wall at all. Initially bothered me, but looks so nice that is has grown on me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for small spaces! This is a great and sturdy bookcase! We have two in the steel color and they hold all of our books and show them off in a modern way. Super sturdy and the thin lines keep it from being too overpowering in our small living room. It's perfect for small spaces without sacrificing on major storage!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for a clean minimalist look I bought this 3 months ago and use it to display a bunch of knick knacks - candles, books, baskets, records - it has really added a new dimension to my apt. Very easy to install - took me 15 minutes. sturdy, doesn't rust or scratch or any of that. So well priced too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Event Accent Pieces! We purchased two Hankcock White Bookcases to furnish the "Bakery Room" for a glamorous wedding this past September. They complimented the room perfectly. Also; the assembled bookcase held up GREAT while shipping to location! We've now moved them into a family members Daughters' room. Her parents absolutely appreciate that added organization.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy & fits perfectly This shelf is perfect: it's genuinely sturdy and can hold a fair amount. The fact that it tapers off at the top gives a bit of an edge & makes it look unique and different than standard bookshelves

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seismically sound! This shelf is beautiful and really shows off anything that you display or store on it. The luster of the metal makes it easy to clean and does not seem to scratch easily. Assembly was very simple and it can easily be erected/ moved around with no help from a buddy. It also withstood a 6.3 earthquake with neary a doodad perished. I owe it all to the elegant cross-bracing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fresh I bought 2 of these to put side by side. The design is clean, easy to assemble and sturdy. I've had these shelves for over a year now, moving them once, and they still look brand new. I have no complaints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Easy To start at the beginning; the delivery service for this bookshelf was prompt, courteous and called ahead of time. The shelf itself was really simple to assemble. The Hancock shelf is really great for a small apartment because its shelves are deep and can hold a variety of items (the bottom shelf is especially great for gigantic coffee table books when your apartment is too small for a coffee table). The white coating on the shelf is easy to keep clean, doesn't scratch or mar easily and really stands out against my grey-painted walls.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy, contemporary shelf I bought this for my apartment because I needed a tall shelf that DIDN'T have to anchor to the wall since my landlord doesn't want extra holes in the walls. This is great because it's a wider base and very sturdy, so there's no risk of it toppling over. It also looks very contemporary and stylish. The only downsides are that I need bookends to keep my books upright and it takes up more space in my small room than other shelves since it sits away from the wall. That being said, I am still very happy with my purchase!
