Great way to keep time
We bought these hourglasses to go with the dropped numbers clock. The greens go perfectly together. These look great and are actually very practical - when I'm having work meetings, I use them to time discussions (we have 30 minutes to brainstorm and then must come to a decision).

I love these pieces !! I was pleasantly surprised to see how the hourglass it was very large and I love it!
I would buy an xtra set for my classroom but they are glasses & I'm certain they would not last long with 6 year olds :0)

Fun and functional
I work as a web editor for a newspaper and bought the small hourglass to help time my nightly social-media tasks: When the sand runs out, I tweet! It works perfectly! It's a great visual reminder and a fun desk accessory to boot.

Oh so charming!
I am an office coordinator and rather than having a boring old clock hang in conference rooms, we have opted for both the hour and 15 minute glass. I have heard nothing but praise, and have even purchased them for my home. Vibrant color, whimsy feel, great purchase!

Really neat (15-Minute version)
I liked this immediately when I saw it in the catalog, but probably wouldn't have bought it without the free shipping incentive. It came today and I love it to death. I'm a little nervous about having it around my kids though. I plan to use it for cleaning my house, I like to clean 4 major areas by spending 15 minutes each on them, but REALLY cleaning as fast as I can and racing the clock, and I figure this will be a lot less distracting than checking the timer on my phone. And it'll look so pretty in our bookshelves. I just know I'm going to end up getting the big one too =\
It's been a lot of fun just having it on my desk today, and it's soothing to watch. I timed mine and it's very close, it's about 14.5 minutes.

Beautiful Matched Set
I ordered the small hourglass first, and then liked it so much that I ordered the big hourglass. These are beautiful and well-made, with glossy curves that are wonderful to touch. The sand is a brilliant, sparkling chartreuse. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

few problems but nothing major
I agree and disagree with what everyone is saying. The green colour is beautiful, although I wish there were more colours to choose from. It does not look cheap, it has some weight to it and looks like it will withstand alot. yes, the 15 minute one is a bit small but still looks durable and good quality to me. it arrived wrapped in bubble wrap and had no scratches or any problems at all. the 60 minute glass is pretty big but i love them both. as for sand sticking to the sides, a simple tap on the side of the glass will put that sand through the glass and it's not a very big amount that will affect timing anyway. they are a bit pricey but i anticipate several years of use as long as i keep them up on the mantel where my pets can't knock them over. yes, they don't measure the exact time they're supposed to: my 15 minute one times for only 9 minutes and the 60 minute one is either 58 or 59 minutes. but they are consistently those times so i think it's fine. and i intend to use them as such. yes they should be exactly 15 and 60 minutes, but they're consistent, which i'm satisfied with as it is better than having them keep different times each time they're used. so yes i'd recommend them if you're not really really really picky. if you're a perfectionist, and not a recovering perfectionist, you might not be satisfied. overall, i'm glad i ordered them and love them.

Goes along with my filing cabinet and my chair
I love this hour glass, I bought it to help me keep track of how much time I was wasting online and on the phone with family, because as a college student I have no time to waste and this has really helped! Thanks again CB2!

CB2 does it again...
Love that you can get great decorative pieces from CB2 that are interactive and serve a function too - great for timing my daughters homework sessions. The pop of color was just was I was looking for to compliment our mostly gray office. Wish the 15 minute came in another color.
