river ritual. Handcrafted by artisans in the Indian village of Basudha, this intricately adorned brass and copper vessel honors the historic craft of metal artistry in West Bengal. Gangajali (hanging pot) derives its name from ganga (holy river) and jal (water), a referent to the Hindi tradition of bathing in the sacred Ganges River to pay homage to ancestors. On the return home, a pot of river water is carried back for rituals. Symbolizing purity and positive energy, ornate peacock etchings highlight the design's sculptural silhouette. Display with dried botanicals or on its own as an object of interest.
