Quick Assembly, Beautiful Striking Color
The color is as amazing as people say. I had no problems assembling it. Took me about an hour by myself. I'm relatively handy, but I'm not a contractor or anything.
The only complaint I have is that the credenza can only hold 50lbs, which, if you have a 40" plasma TV, isn't nearly enough. It seems well built and strong, and it probably can hold more, but I'm not going to be the one to find out through failure testing.

ELEGANT and STUNNING
This is the most beautiful piece of furniture. Great color, clean lines, fabulous red. We planned to use it as our media center. However, we are told the receiver will get too hot and we should drill more holes in the back. We refuse to do that as the quality of the back is the same as the rest (we thought it might be particle board or something) and we don't want to ruin it. The quality is top notch. Well worth the purchase and we'll put our AV components in the basement. We LOVE it! P.S. It took two hours to assemble.

What a statement!
This piece is literally the centerpiece of my living room -- it's bold, its beautiful, and people can't stop complimenting me on it. It's super easy to clean and has nice interior shelving -- perfect for storing dvds. If you're into red accents -- this is the best out there.

Gorgeous Gloss
the high-gloss is gorgeous, but be warned, this red is more on the orange shade in person (for that reason, I purchased the white). Ample storage inside!

RED HOT
Just picked up this piece at a great price. Doing the living room red white and grey and man, this thinkg looks great as a centerpiece. Super glossy, super sturdy. Just plain solid. I only wish the doors would have some type of magnetic closure (its not really an issue though)

Can't stop looking at it!
I have literally been stalking this product for about 2 years. I have been searching and waiting to find a lacquer credenza in the right shade of red without spending thousands of dollars. I finally got the courage up to buy it and now that I have it I can't believe I waited so long. It's exactly what I wanted in my dining room to store my wine glasses, platters, table linens and liquor. I was worried about putting it together alone based on other reviews so I enlisted the help of a friend. We took our time assembling it and it looks great up against my deep grey wall, my friend calls it my shiny red box. I love it!

Great for my home office

Awesome blast of colour!
Bought this for our office conference room to house AV gear and it looks smashing.
Assembly was straightforward and the instructions just fine. I didn't bother to time how long it tookâmaybe 90 minutes working alone. It helps to have enough space to lay everything out on the floor in a logical order.
High gloss lacquer will obviously be somewhat delicate, leading me to have a glass top made for it ($45) so that a phone, remotes and the usual office stuff can be laid on top without marring the finish. In my opinion this piece should have come with a glass top as standard, and that's the only reason I don't give it the final star.

Race Car for My TV
The color of this is awesome. Construction was a little involved, but not more than lots of other furniture I've assembled. It was definitely worth the assembly time. Do be careful not to scratch during the install. I've not had any issues with the finish like some other reviewers have.
Another reviewer mentioned the smell, and I can agree that it does exist. This doesn't bother me for a TV stand though. However, if I had bought the dresser, I know my wife couldn't have used it. Just be aware.
A really striking piece of furniture that is well built.

Love my RED!
This is the perfect color red, and the piece looks much more expensive than it is. Assembly took time in order to get the doors exactly even. But I love this piece!

great media console!
I love this console - it adds a modern touch to my rococo, nautical, industrial decor. The color is great and it has a lot of storage. The only small downside is that my cable box heats up inside it and you have to leave a door wide open to cool it. Otherwise, this is a great purchase I would definitely recommend!

Fabulous Red Credenza
I bought 2 before Xmas 2011 for my dining room, these are just the right size and height for the intended space. The bright red paint is so well done it brightens up the living, dining area and provide much needed storage spaces. I waited for a long time for the right pieces to come along and am so glad I finally found it.

Not a problem for experienced furniture assemblers
Don't let the other reviews scare you - I was able to assemble 2 of these in under 3 hours without assistance. They look great side-by-side in our den next to our Dylan table. Thanks, cb2.

Standout piece of furniture
This is a great storage unit. As most reviewers mention the color really pops and the finish is great. I'm using it for a TV stand so I chose to only assemble one of the doors, that meant I could use the left hand-side shelves for my cable box, Nintendo etc. LIke a lot of people, the big draw back for me was the assembly. It sounds like they may have fixed this a little per the CB2 comment further down on this chain. But it took me 3.5hrs to assemble and the whole thing was pretty overwhelming. I originally put both doors on and had a similar problem that they didn't meet correctly. I was also assembling the unit by myself which made certain steps very difficult. I think it took me 15-mins to turn it over by myself! I hate to say it, but any women purchasing may want to get a guy to help them, or a DIY savvy female friend. I wish I had as I think I could have cut down the assmebly time drastically. Still, now it's built. it looks great!

Blood, sweat and tears
Got four hours to spare? That's what it took two of us to assemble this product. Though it does look lovely, I'll be contacting CB2 soon for advice on where to seek couples' counseling.

We Love This Color
This piece adds an amazing pop of color to our dining room. We love the finish, it's easy to clean, and it provides a good amount of tucked-away storage. It was a little small for the size of our room, so we decided to get two side by side. Highly recommend for folks who want an eye-catching splash of color!
