Rated 5 out of 5 by from Survived Hurricane Sandy Flooding! I bought this couch literally right before Hurricane Sandy demolished the east coast. My attempt to save it from the four feet of flooding in my apartment was propping it up on my kitchen table chairs before I had to abandon my apartment. The next day I came back, the water currant was so strong it kicked the couch off the chairs and was wet with hudson river water. But i cleaned it with an upholstery cleaner vacuum, and it santized it and it looked just like how i bought it. Still have it today, and the foam is breaking down a little bit, where people are constantly sitting, but it still is a wonderful (and affordable) options for a sofa bed/futon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great 2 in 1 sofa I have had this for 2 years. It is a great sofa and for sleep overs, and nap takers.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks great, not comfortable Had this for over a year now in a spare room. Bought a piece of foam to make it tolerable for guests to sleep on. Now using it as a couch and it is too hard - not comfortable to sit on for any length of time. Looks great, but not actually practical as a piece of furniture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sofa bed I've been eyeing this sofa for a while. The sofa is beautiful, really a great design. The mechanisms to adjust the sofa for a bed are straight forward. The sofa padding is very firm, which I personally like, however, not everyone necessarily do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We Love It! I purchased the Flex Gravel for our office lobby and it compliments our space incredibly well. On top of which, it's very comfortable and easy to adjust.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Utilitarian and stylish I've had my flex gravel sleeper sofa for over a year and I use it as my primary sofa as well as bed. I convert it back and forth daily and it holds up extremely well. I have had a minor issue with some of the mounting screws which connect the legs to the sofa falling out, but other than that no issues. As a sofa it looks great, but lacks in comfort because of the firmness of the couch. For me this is a minor concern, easily resolved by the addition of several throw pillows, which a minimalist sofa like this needs anyway. As a bed, you encounter the same issues. It is extremely firm and for frequent use you will most likely want to add some cushioning to it in the form of a thick blanket or something similar. Because I sleep on mine everyday I actually have a 7 inch foam mattress that I store behind the sofa and just pull onto it at night when I fold it down. So, the sofa itself serves as a sturdy base. For occasional use something simpler would suffice.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Minimalist, sturdy but uncomfortable for 50+ I will try using a matress topper to make it a bit softer to sleep on! But I like the way it looks, no frills.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like this a lot. I have a minimalist aesthetic and this fits the bill.  It is clean-lined and simple.  I have a mix of high-end pieces and more budget-friendly pieces in my home.  I chose this for my family room because my teen-age boys and their friends like to hang out and even sleep in there and I don't want to worry about it too much.  After owning this couch for a couple of months, the mechanism for making it lay flat malfunctioned and CB2 replaced the couch without a fuss, which made me very happy.  Excellent customer service.  This is not furniture you'd "sink into," but I don't find it to be uncomfortable at all.  It feels the way it looks in the picture.  No regrets.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great couch, but shows every mark I bought this couch a year ago and have been mostly happy with it. I paid extra to have something (like ScotchGard) put on it at CB2 so that stains wouldn't stick- this was not worth the money. A year later and it shows every mark- water, dirt, who knows. I am constantly having to clean it. I think it's a very comfortable couch and the material is great, however, it will show EVERYTHING- especially pet hair.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from NOT a queen size, as advertised We bought this on the description that it was a queen sized sofa bed. Be warned - it is closer to a full size.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So Hard It Kills Your Back We have now owned the Flex Sleeper Sofa for 12 months. On the plus side, it is very stylish and I do like the color. The fabric, however, is incredibly harsh on the skin. Furthermore, the sofa is incredibly stiff. Even after a year, no one can stand to sit on the sofa for extended periods of time. My lower back has started to give me trouble as this is our primary seating option. I am very disappointed with the purchase and now have to reinvest in a new sofa. It might work for someone who will not use the piece very often. Warning...out of town guests will greatly appreciate a memory foam pad to provide some cushion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from streamlined couch/sleeper We needed an alternative to a bed for overnight guests, as we didn't want to carve out the extra space in our loft for a second bedroom that would only be used when we have guests. My boyfriend suggested a sofa that could convert to a bed, which takes up less space and can be utilized daily as a separate room for reading, playing guitar, etc. I looked at many options and settled on the flex sofa for it's clean lines and simplicity. It is very firm as other reviewers have stated, however, I appreciate this quality as it lends a crispness to the overall design and fabric. It looks beautiful, folds out easily, and I imagine will be quite comfortable with a plush mattress topper placed over it when needed for overnight guests. Once again, CB2 has provided us with a lovely piece of furniture with a modern aesthetic that we love. Great purchase!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from All about the looks Looks great, thought getting the fabric swatch in advance was genius. Beautiful orangey-red color. Bought it for a guest room that will be used as a bedroom for the rare guest. The first guests gave it a mediocre review for comfort sleep-wise, but both commented that they love the looks of it. Based on those comments I bought several thick mattress pads and hope that will help. Others commented that the bed takes queen size linens but even full size seems as though they would fit generously.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very functional Was hesitant because of reviews on firmness but have to admit, this sleeper is a good night's sleep. It provides good support and I love that the upright position has 2 options for reclining.Purchased the protective coating prior to delivery just in case.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great We bought the gravel sleeper to serve a dual function in our office/guest room and it has worked great. Great style, easy to pull out and a comfortable (supportive) sleep.
