Mother to daughter. A CB2 one of a find. The naïve art form of Madhubani paintings has been passed down from mother to daughter, generation to generation in a remote region of northern India. Today, income from the paintings helps provide food, clothing and education for their children. Artist Lalita Devi is paralyzed, but continues to paint with the help of family members who steady her hand. Her vision is that of a jungle where predator and prey live together in harmony. Paper handpainted with brilliant colors made from natural spices, leaves, flowers and soot; framed in a sustainable solid shesham wood frame covered by glass.
