Great looking sewing desk
I needed a desk that wouldn't wobble when I sometimes use it for sewing. The TLD works well. The drawer holds sewing doodads and I have flipped the metal tray around so it can hold a book or 2 behind the little shelf while staying out of the way of the machine. (The backwards tray doesn't scratch the wall because the desk has a sloping shape from the side.) The desk feels very solid when I'm using it, but it's not heavy-looking.

Perfect Desk
I bought this desk to fit in a bay window-sized office. It fits perfectly, it's a beautiful wood, and it coordinates perfectly with the chartreuse file cabinet and desk chair I bought to go with it. it encourages to put away my clutter, since almost all the clutter is exposed and not in drawers, and I bought one of the green letter "sorters" for all of my mail. The only complaint I have is that the CB2 TPS file cabinet doesn't fit underneath the desk, and you cannot remove the wheels in order to make it a little bit shorter so that it will fit. Other than that, it was a GREAT purchase, contemporary without being to avant garde.

Good quality, nice design, great price
We just bought three of these for our new office. The first one took about half an hour to assemble - the second two took half that. We wanted something less massive than the typical office desk, solid wood if we could find it, and a reasonable price. The TLD hits the mark. We'll know better after we've used them for a few months, but initial impressions are that they are very sturdy, and we love the light-weight look (and, for that matter - the light weight; they are easy to move around). All pieces are solid oak, except the top which is oak veneer over (I believe) particle board. The drawer and shelf are clever. Because the drawer and shelf are white, the desks go well with our white CB2 go cart console tables.

Could have been a Standing and / or Sitting desk
Was looking for a desk where I could stand or sit, depending on work and mood and energy. Had hoped by initial picture that the higher lever would have some depth, instead of being a skinney piece or wood. Much of work is better done standing, like sorting and reading, so If I bought I would have to add a 14-18 top along upper rail, so it could be in center of room and used a regula desk and standing desk.

Love this desk!
Amazing mkodern desk. Looks great with 2 of the Hyde oak cabinets above it. Terrific bargain at this price and the quality seems very good too. We are so happy we found this desk. Thank you CB2.

great desk
First CB2 review. This desk looks and feels great. Just the right size for my workspace in my apartment. Sturdy but not bulky, with great lines. Really useful design...I love the little hanging shelf, which is handy and far smaller than the drawers on most desks. I need a place to stash a couple of office supplies, but I didn't want my new desk to feel bulky. My friends are jealous.
Took a little while to put together, but nothing surprising or difficult.
