Simple and functional
I was looking for a simple desk that allowed flexibility and functionality. This is a great, sturdy, visually appealing desk. Only
Downfall is even with the casters locked if you lean on the desk it WILL move.

Great desk!
We bought this desk along with 2 of the bookcases. This desk was for a seldom used 3rd computer and to hold our large printer. So this desk needed to be 1.affordable 2. very durable. I can say that the console desk fits the bill perfectly. Probably better than the 2x4 foot go cart desk The extra width is really good. Of course it matches our Go Cart bookcases too. I love the casters, and the industrial look.

Great purchase
I looked for a desk forever. I wanted something simple that could work in any decor. My bedroom is yellow and the furniture is variegated woods and this works in just fine. I think it takes on the character of the elements around it because it has such classic straight lines. It is sturdy. The box is heavy. It takes about 30 minutes to put together - and it's super easy to do. Make sure you really like the color *before* you put it together because you will never be able dismantle it once you are done. Oh yeah, the wheels are really high quality as well. It will last forever. Really good buy and it actually made me want to buy a file cabinet and a chair a week later.

Love it.
Simple lines with a whif of industrial chic--and the dark charcoal precisely matches my accent wall. Tons of storage on the bottom shelf--I've got three galvanized metal bins there--with room for components on top. Easy assembly.

Perfect Slim Desk
This desk is the perfect solution for our narrow space where we couldn't quite squeeze in a full size desk. The length is fine, but we needed something not quite so deep, but that still looks great. The price and quality of this desk is next to none. Really happy with it.

Difficult to Assemble
I have an apartment full of CB2 furniture, and I've never come across a piece more difficult to assemble than this one; the table itself is sleek and attractive, but the wheels are simply impossible to attach.

sturdy, modern, attractive
The only problem I have with the console table is that it doesn't come in the same colors as the desks – I wanted something longer and narrower for our small office and this fit the bill. I'll be ordering the matching 3 shelf table (again, only in charcoal :( ).

OK for the price
Nice design, wheels are great, not very sturdy side to side. Tends to lean one way or the other.

Best Console/desk/table
This exceeded my expectations of a console/desk thing I was looking for. It's lightweight, clean and simple looking with just an edge to make it modern and fun. The wheelies make it so easy to transform it from a desk to an emergency extra surface for the kitchen and dining room (who knew?).

Great Added Work Space
I bought the carbon console table to compliment the chartreuse go-cart desk, and they work very well as an "L" shaped work area. I had minimal problems with assembly, which took about a half an hour total (no need to drill holes, etc., just had to make sure I was lining things up properly). Overall, very happy with the purchase.

nice, inexpensive console/desk option
sturdy metal, good sized and spacious underneath for file cabinets. wish it had a drawer and since there is no lower shelf, the metal connections will have some 'give' above the wheels. I liked that since it won't be too rigid to fit into tight places, but my fiancee wasn't as impressed with that. Even still, we recommend it highly, certainly over any pressed wood lightweight options you may get at any other furniture supertailers.

Just perfect
Moved to NYC 3 months ago, visited CB2 and loved this desk, decided to check elsewwhere what else was available just to be sure, ended placing my order online last weekend and received it yesterday. Was a breeze to set it up and it's perfect for my studio, at 21" depth it was the perfect size...
Salut

good looking piece
Unlike some of the other reviews here, I experienced no problems with lining up the holes to screw the parts together. If you have professional tools, it will make the assembly go faster. Be aware that this is a heavy piece. I am a 110 lb female, and had to both drag and lift the package up 2 flights of stairs, I did remove some parts before doing that and it was still a struggle. Thank God for carpeted stairs. I found it easier to assemble with the top laid on the floor, and to have the table laid sideways to put the casters on. No regrets, great purchase.

Screw holes off
I really like this table, I'll start by saying that. The assembly would have been much easier if the screw holes would not have been an entire 1/8th of an inch off. I had to get a drill to file the metal down and make the screw holes line up properly before I could finish assembling this table. That was very frustrating. At any rate, it's a nice table for a nice price and I'm getting a lot of use out of it.

perfect!
Easy to assemble, looks great and very sturdy/well constructed. Purchased to use as a desk-very satisfied with item!

better than expected
never realized a desk on wheels allows for so much flexibility- especially when you need to get behind the desktop and deal with those pesky cables. The color is a great yellow/green and you cant beat the price. Bought four for the new office- keep one along the wall and then wheel it in to the middle for group meetings.

Great scale and function
I am using this as a desk in a bedroom. It is so easy to lock into place or move out of the way if I need to. When I move it will function great in a new space as a desk or a console. The finish is great and it looks and feels more expensive than the price tag.

Solid desk, easy assembly
I've actually used this desk on two occasions. This was my desk at my old job and I loved it so much that I bought it for my room when I moved apartments. I have it in the slate grey color and it's holding up really well, considering the way I tend to abuse my desks. The assembly is the easiest thing in the world (they even include the tools you need) and the casters are great as it allows you to move easily.
I would highly recommend this desk if you're looking for a decent amount of work space and storage isn't a big concern. I got a mobile pedestal to fit under mine and I love the set up.

Love Go-Cart!
This is a great value! Easy to put together, great looks. The finish does show fingerprints, but it's not an issue for me. I work at home, so I need hard duty office furniture -- bought the whole Go-Cart suite -- desk, console, large and small shelf units, and file cart. Can't beat the style, functionality, and great value!

icky screws & bolts
My daughter & I put this together for her apartment.
The table itself has a great industrial feeling and look when assembled. But the big problem is putting it together. BIG PROBLEM.
The screws and bolts were a bad fit and the tools given were awful. It took forever to get the legs on and then we realized that they have to be put together in a specific way for the supporting braces to work. By that point our hands were aching from trying to use the little bolt holders and we threw in the towel, just attaching the lower rear brace. We tried to use a socket wrench, but the Taiwanese made screws and bolts wouldn't work with standard American tools.
So beware-this will take a lot of time, you'll need 2 people because of the weight and your hands will be very sore afterward.
