I got these dishes wanting something new and I was very happy to have them and my family loves the look and the feel of them. I have found that they work well with my old set at the table. Just love them.

Poor quality
I purchased these thinking I had found replacements for plates I bought at c&b a couple of years ago......NOT SO! These plates are about 1/2" smaller than the previous version and chip if they are looked at crooked! I have had them a week and two have chipped already. I had the old version for 3 years and not one chip!

very practical
these dishes are nice and heavy and the edges make them ideal for serving anything with sauce. a great every day set.

Architecture for Your Tabletop!
I have admired and desired the Bauhaus designed dishes for more than 20 years. My neighbor has a set manufactured decades ago by Trend Pacific and I too wanted some. For a few years I have known about the CB2 version of these dishes but didn't buy them because I had perfectly good Cafeware dishes. I finally ordered them. I think it's silly to get excited about dishes, but these are special--the clean design is timelessly and elegantly modern, like a beautiful Mies Van Der Rohe building. I don't know why I waited so long to own and enjoy them. I am SO glad CB2 offers them and I hope they always will.

Love this dinnerware
This dinnerware is just what I was looking for. It is clean and crisp looking and to add flare to it you just need to change the color of your place mats or napkins. The pieces are a bit heavy though.

Beautiful and functional
Love them! Would've given 5/5 if they weren't slightly heavier than my previous dinnerware pieces. Other than that these are great. The lip on the plates keeps crumbs on the plate instead of in your couch.

LOVE these dishes!
Am so glad I got these dishes... they have such a simple, cool, modern look and at a great price! They are heavt and don't chip easily... want to get more!

Love, love, love 'em!
Love the modern dinnerware. It is simple, clean, can be elegant or everyday depending on how you set your table. The white dinnerware offers the opportunity to decorate with whatever colors you want and for whatever season or occassion you want. Various serving pieces blend perfectly with them also.

Bigger bowl please!
Love the plates and bowls. They're chunky-modern-imperfect. They're heavy, and they don't stack perfectly. I think they're stunning.
The only improvement would be a bowl that is big enough to use the dinner plate as a lid, just like the small bowl uses the luncheon plate as a lid.

Very nice design but very, very heavy
I love the dinnerware style and I like how the food looks in. The bowls and salad plates are heavy but manageable but the dinner plate is very heavy, I can´t handle more than two plates at the same time...

Nice, clean dinnerware
Was a little hesitant to order, but now I'm glad I did. I ordered 4 dinner plates and 4 salad plates. I also ordered 4 dome bowls, instead of the ones that come with this set. All are great quality and very clean looking. They also stack very well.

Made into a perfect turntable for a tiny cabinet
I have two narrow cabinets next to my stove that are only 7.5" wide. I used the 7" salad plate, adhesive, and a 4" lazy susan bearing to create a perfectly sized (for my cabinet) turntable for spices. Now that I have one working, I'm going to make more lazy susans out of these plates for all those small cabinet shelves. The deep rim works wonders to keep the bottles from falling off. I love these plates!

HMMM...STILL ON THE FENCE...
These looked great on the website...so I only ordered a set to see if I liked it...and 3 days later, I'm still on the fence.
They are heavy (you'll notice that right off the bat).
Don't get me wrong...they look great...love the clean lines and no fuss profile...but the bowl is a little shallow...cereal doesn't work well in there. The "salad" plate is the same size as the bowl...so it doesn't show well when stacked as a traditional place setting (that was a big sticking point for me). All in all...well made dinnerware but not sure if I want to buy anymore...I guess I'll go down to the store and see the other styles before I actually buy it this time :-)

Delighted (as Punch) Bowls
I bought two serving bowls to match my dinnerware set (including mugs), which I've owned for about three years now. I can't compliment this set enough; clean, simple design looks great on any table and you can mix-and-match with different-colored dishes and table accessories.
The bowls are quite large and, unlike their cereal/soup counterparts, are deeper to accommodate everything from pasta to mashed potatoes to salad.

LOVE THESE BOWLS!
I am incredibly picky when it comes to my tableware . . . especially when it comes to the size of bowls (that always seem to be a bit too much on the small size - I hate that!) This set is certainly the exception :) I love the minimalist/ yet very contemporary, clean look that just looks 'smashing' when paired w/ my bright orange placemats against the dark walnut background of my chunky dining table.
I just love them so much, that believe it or not, I also ended up buying 2 extra serving bowls (which are huge) to extend the same look . . . . to the floor, where I use for my dog's water/ food bowls!!! They really look super stylish w/ the same bright placemats to keep things neat & tidy!!!

heavy duty dinnerware
This dinnerware is super heavy duty! It would be very difficult to chip this stuff! I love the modern look of it. If you are an elderly person ... do not buy this dinnerware. It is very heavy and would be hard for you to lift the dinner plates.
