Great, Multipurpose
I purchased two of these tables for my sewing/design studio. They work great for a cutting table though I use cutting mats to protect the surface. I also considered using one for an enclosed deck for better views. It is a beautiful piece, especially for the price.

DECEND TABLE
with the storage on the side, it makes for the prefect table in a kitchen with little space, but the finish on the table scratches easily. when/if you purchase the table be sure place mats go along with it.

looks great, dings easily
I put this table together by myself quite easily. It was bigger than expected but that's good. I love the storage and how clean it looks. I'm using it as a desk in my kitchen since I work from home and have very little space in my apartment. My only complaint is that it does ding a bit easily, but I hardly notice the dings.

Makes for a great shop counter!
I love my sidecar high dining table. I have a small shop in Detroit and needed to find a makeshift counter that was small enough to fit in the space, yet also functional. This works perfect! It's large enough to hold our register, computer, and customer's merchandise, yet small enough to not take up too much space in the 300sqft shop. We display smaller products in the front and side shelves, which works out nicely. I don't really have any complaints except that it scratches very easily. What was really awesome is that it arrived hours before my grand opening, just in the nick of time! I had two guys install it, and they didn't have much trouble at all...took them all of an hour and a half or so. This is my first purchase from CB2, and I will be ordering again! Going to purchase another for a second location we have opening this Summer.

Studio Living
I bought the Sidecar High dining table to extend my small kitchen in my studio apartment. I needed additional work, storage, and eating space so this worked out perfectly!
I use this table when prepping and cooking, bought a bar stool and use when eating, and also as a bar for making/mixing drinks when I have friends over. It's an extremely solid piece, well made, cleans easily, and looks fantastic. I wish it was maybe a few inches shorter but that's my personal taste based on my current apartment.
My only negative would be assembly, prepare thy self! It took a friend and I well over an hour to put her together. While the instructions were pretty clean and all pieces stickered/labeled, there were some moments of head scratching and having to dissemble then reassemble because we had pieces backwards. But all in all the end result it all worth it and I love this piece and plan to hold on to it for sometime.

Difficult to put together, but love it
Just like in previous reviews, this table was difficult to put together. It took me 3hrs to fully assemble. It might have been quicker if I had another person helping me, but I still found that some of the pictures in the instructions could have been oriented better/differently to give an easier depiction of how to put the table together. It took a while for me to fit some of the pegs in properly, which was kind of frustrating. Overall though, I am happy with purchase. It triples as a dining table/desk/bar for me. It fits in very well with the decor in my apt, and at first I thought it might have been too big, but it's perfect. I would suggest having another person or two help you as it would require lifting/turning toward the end of putting the table together.

Awesome bar height computer table !
I purchased the Sidecar to use as a computer table because I needed something bar height so I could look out my window that overlooks a marina. Normally, guys assemble things for me, but being recently divorced, I had to do it myself and managed without too much trouble. I now know what a cam screw is ! The Sidecar is sleek, modern and glossy white, which coordinates with my modern decor. The cubbyholes facing my chair are perfect for storing office supplies and the ones facing out are great for showing off collectibles. There is enough room underneath to store a 3 drawer bin which I keep office supplies in and enough room on top for an old fashioned computer monitor (like a tv !), the keyboard, a printer, lamp, speakers and penholders. If you need a sleek office table, definitely consider the Sidecar !

My favorite piece!
In our old apartment we had a counter in the kitchen so we got these great retro bar stools that we adore. When we moved there was no longer a counter, but we weren't about to get rid of the stools. So I came to CB2 for some ideas and immediately hit checkout with this item. This is the most elegant bar I have ever seen. The shelf space is great. It was EASY to assemble too! (Now my once adored stools come second to this fabulous bar!)

Life. Space. Saver.
I have been coveting this table for two years now, finally bought it for my tiny studio and it has been fantastic. I finally have a suitable workspace and dining space and it breaks up my space enough to look like its own separate area without making my place feel smaller. Easy to build. I am a tiny girl and put it together all by myself. LOVE IT!!

Solid table!
I was a bit worried about the durability of the table b/c the model in the store was pretty banged up, however ever since we purchased our own, it has been fantastic - just remember with all high gloss... use place mats!

Makes my studio work!
I have one of the smallest studios probably known to man - and since it's the space is a square-shaped box, I wanted furniture that would help separate it into "rooms." This table does the job well since it's counter-height. I have it set up with two Phoenix bar stools and it looks great. I get tons of compliments, especially on how it defines the kitchen area from the rest of the space.
It definitely takes a while to assemble and you need two people to do it, but once set up the shelves are handy. The top has some scratches now half a year in but they're not that noticeable unless you're really a perfectionist.

Unique, multi-functional piece
I've wanted this piece since I first started paging through CB2 catalogs several years ago. After moving into a new apt, I splurged on the piece immediately --it was one of the first purchases I made and one of the best. The quality of the product is undeniable and its modern sleek aesthetic is the perfect accent for my apt space. For someone with not a lot of shelf/storage space, the cubby holes are perfect spots for my cookbooks and wine bottles.
Many have complained about its assembly and while I do admit that upon receiving the hefty box of parts I was a little overwhelmed, the instructions are succinct and easy to follow -- if you lay out the parts pre-installation it basically builds itself. I did it by myself --totally doable--the only slightly cumbersome part was the table top, which is fairly heavy and awkward to manage by one person.
I've never found anything that compares aesthetically -- and I love the idea of a high dining table, especially in a modern apt space. Initially I was worried that the white would be too glossy-looking, but its not overly so. Paired it with some industrial brushed steel stools which looks awesome.

high quality, a caveat
We bought this for a very specific spot, with the knowledge that we would have to adapt it a bit during construction. This piece is very well made, very well engineered, but if you don't want to use it in the exact configuration shown, keep looking! It would have taken an hour to put together if we hadn't needed to turn the storage section inward, but that really isn't an option they anticipate. Tape measure, drill, wine and three hours later we got it together. It looks GREAT, and it is solid as a rock, but it's not flexible!

Perfect Non- Dining Table
I bought this table to use in my craft room and I LOVE it; it's the perfect size and height for my needs.
It took an hour and a half to assemble only because I misread the instructions and had to take it partially apart. Other than my own user error, it was very easy to put together; and required only three tools.
The table is sturdy and had no flaws on any part of the finish.
The shelves are a perfect fit for my craft bins. The side shelves are 11Wx12.5Hx7D. With the front shelves at 6.2Wx12.5Hx11D.
I know most reviews have been for dining use, but anyone that is in need of a tall sleek craft table ...... this is definitely a great find!

Functional Piece
I was instantly drawn to this piece but like the others have said it was a pain to put together. Peeling off the plastic was an even bigger pain but I am so glad we bought this! I have all of my cookbooks on the sides of the unit and it looks great with the vapor bar stools.

Sleek and modern
I'm a 25-year-old girl, and I was able to put this little table together fairly easily by myself, in an hour or so. One complaint is I actually put a wooden peg in the wrong whole and had to use pliers to force it out, and it broke in the hole - had to spend some time drilling the rest of the wood out of the hole, and then was missing a wooden peg for the proper hole. My mistake, and the table is still sturdy, but would have liked to have extra connectors on hand in case of a mistake or badly-made piece. Other than that, the table looks great - except the white lacquer chips off quite easily during assembly and I have a small eyesore of brown showing on one of the shelves. But all in all the table was a great investment for my small apartment breakfast nook - and it lightens and brightens up my space in a sleek and modern way.

sleek
Its a little pricey, but hard to find anything like this without spending way more. The delivery was 2 hours late, annoying, but at least CB2 reinbursed my delivery cost. Lke others, putting this together requires patience, and a hammer. Some of the dowel were way too tight in the holes, but dont be afraid to hammer them in. Once completed, it is a great table. Glossy white looks sleek, and it is the right size for a condo or apartment.

Table is too high for my kitchen
I was looking for a table that I could use in my New York City eat in Kitchen. This table was the perfect size in length and width with great storage, but too tall for the kitchen. I wish they made it in 31" kitchen counter Height
