room for two. Ingenious sleeper transforms from sofa to guest bed in clever 1-2-3 setup. Tailored in red tweed weave, modern design sits Euro-deep with oversized back cushions on polished metal tube frame. Goes from upright to lights out via easy one-person operation: off with the back cushions, pull up seat and extend front legs from hidden zipper pockets beneath. Slide seat forward and fold down back. No need to pull away from wall or unfold a heavy mattress. Neat feature: sheltering sides become headboard/footboard.

tandom red sleeper sofa is rated 4.5167 out of 5 by 60.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty...but... This is a very nice looking sofa and it will do the trick for guests' sleeping. I am really happy about that. But it is not comfy as a sitting sofa. It is deep and firm and you can't snuggle into the corners. I have requested two more sofa pillows (the same that come w/ the sofa) in the event that 2 "rows" of pillows will cut into the deepness and I have a lot of lovely decorative pillows, but I don't think it will help much. So... if you live in an apt. and really need this to function as a nice piece for seating as well as a guest bed, you may not be happy. It is really pretty, though. I would recommend it to others but with some reservation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy Despite living in a very small apartment, I have a lot of out of town guests. I needed a sofa bed that didn't take up a lot of space as a sofa, yet would fold out to a double. I was also hoping for something comfy and modern. The tandom sofa was the only one that covered all my needs (and I did a lot of searching).I've had it for two months, and I couldn't be happier. It's comfortable as both a bed and a sofa, it fits into a small space, and it looks great. As well, it's a cinch to convert from a sofa to a bed and back (I'm notoriously weak, and I can do it on my own without any struggles). My guests have given it glowing reviews too (and some of them can be hard to please). If you're looking for a great sofa bed, go for this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! These are beautiful. We bought two in gray to furnish a rental unit, and they are so slim and sleek, they don't take up much space (area or visual), and look gorgeous. Two adults sleeping fit fine, unless they are very tall, and the sleeper is a breeze to open and use. Back pillows are comfy, but suggest supplementing with throw pillows for max lounging. We would buy again in a heartbeat, and wish they were for us at home!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WONDERFUL COUCH!!! We received this couch on Sunday - the delivery guys were on time, friendly, and the move was easy. The couch looks really awesome and is very comfortable. I would recommend putting it against a wall so that you have more support for your head and neck.It converts to a sofa very easily, and it's also comfortable as a bed!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Chic space-problem solver We bought this sofa to create a spot for guests in a little one-bedroom cottage. Most of the time it is a sofa, but when it needs to be a bed, the fold-down deployment works great. Way better than the traditional tuck in mattresses are also a bit musty and dusty when you pull them out. To make this comfortable as a bed, you need to purchase a Queen sized mattress topper - one that is thick enough so the crack isn't felt.As a couch, it serves its purpose. Extra pillows are definitely needed to make the arms cozy. They are very hard and hurt if you plop down on them too hard. The size is just right for a small space, and the fabric is sturdy yet sophisticated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Striking and comfy! We searched for a sofa for quite a while before we settled on the Tandom. Though this couch is nowhere near as bulky as sofas normally are, it is very comfortable. Its ability to fold out into a sleeper only added to its appeal to us.Over the various holidays since we've gotten the couch, it has featured very prominently in all our photos. We also get lots of compliments from all our first-time visitors when they see it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great sleeper option for my downtown condo! I bought this sofa to maximize space in my downtown condo. The compact size of the sleeper sofa -- it's quite large and can accommodate at least 3 guests, but it doesn't take up a lot of floor space -- is a real perk. The back cushions are firm and provide comfortable back support, however there is a considerable gap as the pillows don't fit the entire size of the sofa. The arm rests about an inch wide and not cushioned -- you definitely need to add ample throw pillows if you are wanting to lean back and relax. It's a sleeper sofa in a crunch, but It's definitely not the most comfortable option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Refreshing Design This is a comfortable and functional low-profile couch. As a couch there is ample space and decent sitting comfort. The back is a bit low compared to the average couch due to it's unique design, so it may not be the most comfortable for those that are taller. I find this couch encourages lounging rather than sitting with good posture. The arm rests do not have cushioning, so if I plan to lounge for extended time I add a couple of pillows on either end to lean on if need be. As a bed, I do not have any complaints. I do not find it too firm or soft.Converting it to a bed is easy and simple. Underneath the seat area there is also empty space that I use for extra hidden storage. You can easily fit a couple of storage tuckers underneath the seat, and while it is completely hidden, it is quick to access. This design is certainly refreshing, much better than the classic sofa bed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Attractive, but uncomfortable This was a top contender for a new sleeper sofa for us. But in the end, although we liked it asthetically, we decided it wasn't comfortable enough for overnight guests.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from perfect for the small apartment We've had this sofa for a year, and love it for our small apartment. It has a low profile so it doesn't distract from our floor to ceilling windows while serving to separate the dining area from the sitting area. It is firm, which I like, but it isn't for everyone. The arms are uncomfortable, but once you dress it up with come extra pillows, you are all set. It folds out easily and double fitted sheets work great on it. We've had folks sleeping on it for a least a month's worth of the last year and they have found it comfy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from space saver, but... This is a great sofa if you are trying to have a comfy sofa that fits in smaller spaces. it's also great that it's a sleeper sofa without looking like a cheap futon or a bulky sofa-bed. The one thing you have to be aware of is that the two back pillows don't fill the entire length so there's a considerable gap between each of the pillows and the skinny side panels.A less annoying fact is that the skinny side panels (can't really be considered arm rests) are not good for reclining your back against them if you are talking to someone right next to you so you'll definitely need a throw pillow for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SPACE MAXIMIZER! We just moved cross country and are expecting many guests to our JR 1 BR Apt. so we needed a solution that didn't sacrifice style or space. I can't stress how perfect this sleeper sofa worked out! Totally worth the splurge.PROS: The compact size of the tandem sleeper sofa allowed us to have a spacious living area in our bedroom. As a sofa it can accommodate seating for 4 avg. people because the length is in the seating and not wasted on arm rests. The cushions are wonderfully firm and provide comfortable back support. My tall husband loves it because he can sit on one end and fully extend his legs. I love it because I can curl up and read comfortably, with my sprawled up pup at the other end not invading my space.CONS: The ends (arm rests) are about an inch wide and not cushioned. You will have to put a pillow or two if you want to sit with your back against the arm rest. Not a deal breaker for us, but some people love their arm rests.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small Space Must-Have! Limited on space with frequent house guests, the tandem sleeper sofa is a great option. Compact, comfortable (can easily fit with my two young kids) and multi-functional. It's extremely comfortable as a bed, if you like a firm surface. It took time adjusting to the comfort of the couch functionality, but we love it.
