Almost perfect value
Wanted lamp of this design- found others from high-end brands that were 7 times CB2 price. Was worried this lamp would be flimsy or cheap. I am pleasantly surprised--it is NOT. Very heavy base construction, nice metal finish. Shade nice quality. It looks perfect in our living room over our large mid century modern contemporary sectional. Directions stated would take 2 people to assemble- they were correct. Took us about 20 minutes - not difficult, just awkward to maneuver so it doesn't torque. Only reason not 5 stars is shade has 2 indentions (dimples) that can't be pressed out and are visible when lit. If price was higher, I would have returned but overall the value outweighed the finish flaw. Closest store is 300 miles so would have had to ship back. Purchased a pillow at same time but returned it - very cheap looking.
Overall happy with our first purchase from CB2. Hard to find contemporary design where we live so glad we have option from this company.

I love this lamp
It provides illumination that somehow manages to be both bright and soft, plus I view it as a piece of sculpture as well as a light. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Good deal
Nice look for the price.
I am finding it impossible to adjust. Once you extend, it does not want to go back.

Perfect!
I have been looking for a lamp to fit around my sectional couch, and this one from CB2 is perfect! The arch is adjustable, so it is easy to achieve the right look with this lamp. The dimmer switch is a nice bonus as well. This is a great lamp for the price, I highly recommend!

Very pleased
Studied many arched lamps and settled on this one. Very pleased we did. Looks great at corner of black leather sectional. Price is remarkable too.

Beautiful and versatile
we love this lamp. Our house combines some traditional elements with more contemporary style, and this lamp fits in perfectly. The base is very heavy and solid (this was important to us as we have two young children and we were a bit concerned about whether the lamp would tip over easily--it doesn't). The quality of the light is perfect--sufficiently bright but not glaring. It really changes the room.

perfect for a loft space
This lamp works really well in our 2 story loft. We have height, but space is at a premium, and this lamp occupies the living room with out taking over. It provides the perfect amount of light over the seating area, with an extra large mirror behind it, reflects nicely into the rest of the loft. It seems to tilt a little in the direction of the arc. It's slightly aggravating, but it only bugs me.

Love!
Received this lamp on Friday. It was pretty easy for 2 people to put together (except for attaching the shade and bulb from above--that was a bit tricky). It looks fabulous. It is big and super sturdy, and I love that the CFL bulb included is dimmer-compatible. Couldn't be happier!

Deceptive Photo
We received the CB2 arc lamp, put it together and have been unable to adjust or alter the metal bar so that the lamp appears as it does in the picture. So we have a lampshade that appears at a 45 degree angle, looking weird. In the process of trying to sort out how this happened, but no success yet.

Love!
Really excellent lamp. Puts off way more light than i expected. A tiny problem (and it may be the power) but the dimmer is very touchy. it's hard to find that middle ground with the dimmer. quite heavy and good quality for the price.

FABulous!
Absolutely LOVE this lamp! It adds a wonderful vertical element to my living room. Dimmer on the cord keeps the clean line of the arc, and allows for full room illumination as well as dim mood lighting.
I was somewhat concerned as several reviews stated 2 people needed to assemble - but that was certainly not the case. Had it together myself in about 10 minutes!

Love the lamp
It looks great in my condo. It does require 2 people to install but it was not so bad. The lamp is sturdy and looks like it's designed well.

great lamp
this is a great lamp that puts off a really beautiful light. it was easy to put together and looks great in room. i replaced the energy efficient bulb it comes with for a nicer, more diffused light. highly recommended.

Reasonable price for a sturdy buy
LOVE this lamp. It's the perfect size (hangs over our corner sectional) and I love that we can control brightness with an easily-concealed switch. I've seen floor lamps like this at much more expensive prices but the quality is on par with others in this category. Appreciate that I got to pay less but receive a great product regardless. We're very satisfied with it!

As promised
This is a lovely lamp and I do not regret the purchase. My only complaints would be that the assembly definitely requires 2 people (the base is quite heavy) and the shade is a bit darker than I thought and because there is a panel below the shade, the light is a bit dimmer than I would have wished. Aside from that .... an excellent lamp, good design and great value.

We looked at an arc lamp at a big box store and were really disappointed by the quality. We headed to CB2 to look at this lamp because the other reviews were so great. This lamp looks great, the finish of the metal is shiny. The weight of the lamp feels solid, the total opposite of the other lamp we looked at. Our CB2 store was out of stock so we are waiting for the lamp to be delivered. Can't wait to see it in our living room.

Great lamp!
I've always loved the retro style of this lamp. I absolutely love the way it has transformed the look of my living room. It's large, well-built, sturdy and fairly easy to assemble. I would highly recommend this very cool lamp.

Big Dipper Floor Lamp - simply awesome
got this lamp several months ago and keep loving it more and more. lots of light, great art piece - of course has a lot of character, and dimmer is GOLD!! love it all the way!
