overview

row with the flow. At the age of 14, designer Natasha Wittke embarked on a month-long, 600km canoe trip through the northern-most point of Ontario where she "spent so much time with a paddle in my hand that I suppose it was inevitable I would make it my canvas one day." Handcrafted from solid cherry wood in New Liskeard, Northern Ontario and hand-finished in Wittke's Montreal, Quebec workshop, this graceful form is punctuated with a precise geometric pattern, handpainted by the artist without the use of stencils. Each paddle suspends from a handmade leather harness.

norquay co. Natasha Wittke is the founder of Norquay Co. (norquayco.com), a brand dedicated to creating collectible pieces of functional art. Based out of her Montreal studio, Wittke launched her first series of handcrafted artisan canoe paddles in 2013. Inspired by the beauty of the outdoors, Wittke's work celebrates the organic patterns, mosaic of color and sense of balance found in nature.

Introducing the Sur Collection featuring more than 30 surf-inspired designs, hanging out now exclusively at CB2. It's summer without end.
