Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for teens I bought this bed for my teenage son in Queen size. It looks great in his room very hip sleek and modern and a great price!!!! He is a big kid standing 6ft tall. That said the slats spilt. We are in the process of finding slats or the right size wood to repair the bed. So far nothing. I do love the bed so I hope CB2 will ask the manufacturer to make replacement slats. I would buy another bed for an additional guest room I love it so much but need the replacement slats!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The problems with the slats are real! The wooden slats wear out and are not very supportive. They sag down and create two craters on each side of the bed separated the middle section which is higher because of the metal beam running through the middle of the bed. This is a very big design flaw and does not give the bed longevity of more than s few years. Buy with caution

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great looking bed, substandard support I have had this bed for about a year. The looks are great and the construction is good with the exception of the wood slats. They break easily and don't provide adequate support. Steel slats would have been much better and I would still pay for the option as I otherwise like the design of the bed. I ended up buying a bunky board for better support and that helps somewhat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from going strong after 5 years & 2 moves Bought the queen size and really like it. its comfortable and assembly is easy (takes only one person). Having the shelf and the metal frame does make the bed considerably longer so when we moved to a rental briefly with a 12' x12' bedroom and our dresser on the wall facing the bed, it made it difficult for two people to move around the room to get ready for work. We thought about getting another bed frame but love the shelf/headboard so much we just held on to it. Now our master is considerably longer (17') so there is plenty of space to move around and we are really happy we kept it. Anticipate keeping it for another 5 years!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best purchase of my life ! So I have had this bed for about six months and I was holding off writting a review to actually see if there was some thing i might not like since i have read reviews prior to my purchase about it not being all that its cut out to be. I am glad I waited and tried the bed for myself. It is verrrry comfortable and the frame itself is very sturdy and easy to clean ! I have noticed it is a few inches bigger than a normal queen sized bed but I love it ! Its better to buy the matress at a CB2 and not risk a matress not fitting the frame well. I had an overall good experience making my purchase and enjoying my bed ! Another helpful tip is to pay for the delivery and assembly of the bed the workers are efficient and its a done deal you will have a properly assembled frame.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Bed with Practical Storage on top I've been using this bed for the past month and came as expected. Delivery/installation was done within 15 minutes and the only downside to the bed is the opening in the headboard. If you have a thinner mattress, there will be an opening in the headboard so you'll need a box spring for any mattress less than about 10" so you'll need to do measurements of the mattress you plan on using.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy, Strong, and Stylish The real value in this bed comes from that I will most likely never have to replace it. It is built so strong and sturdy that it feels like it is indestructible. Usually with those characteristics, you think bulky ugly and thick, but it is functional, fashionable, and looks AMAZING. I would recommend this 100% and buy it over and over again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Bed! I love this bed. It's sturdy, sleek, and very stylish. The top of the backboard also serves as a handy shelf, where you can have a lamp, or phone, etc. It doesn't make noise when you move around on it. And, it's very solid and feels sturdy. I have the king size and it was the nicest bed for under $1,000 I could find. I also like the gun metal gray, which matches my bedspread nicely. I highly recommend this bed. My only complaint is that it's a little low to the ground, so if you're old or have a bad back, it might be difficult to get in and out of.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design makes for rough night's sleep This bed is made up of a metal frame (with a metal beam running down the center) that supports wood slats. Some of the wood slats are more supportive than others and the metal beam creates a ridge in the middle of the bed. You will end of sleeping either in the center on the hard beam or in sunken holes on either side of the beam. Good looking bed - just make sure you don't have to actually sleep in it!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cool looking bed with some problems. I've had this bed for 3 years now and here are the pros and cons.PROS:The back shelf is useful. It's the perfect height for my projector to watch movies on the wall. You can also put books on it.The bed looks cool. It's sleek and modern. You can also sit up against the back to read.CONS:There's a metal bar that run through the middle so I have to curl up on the side of the bed to be comfortable.Even with the recommended mattress and an extra memory foam mattress topper the bed is not very comfortable. The pillows fall behind the bed.You will stub your toes and feet on the sharp metal corners.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Solid bed but not entirely happy with my purchase I have been sleeping in the full size bed for a month, and whilst I initially 'high fived' myself for thinking that the shelf unit at the head of the bed would eliminate the need to get bedside tables, that actually made the bed as long as a Queen Size.I am finding the full size, just too small, I am only one person, and if my dog or another person were to share the bed, it becomes uncomfortable. Also, another warning for Australian's moving to the states, the mattress depth is extraordinary in the US, and most of our standard fitted sheets don't fit the depth of the US mattress very well.Overall, it is a great bed, I wish I just considered some things before purchasing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun bed! We bought this for our limited space bedroom. Love the color and architecture. That said, dust gathers at the head under the shelf and on the frame. SO if you are a dust nut, you will need to do extra dusting in that area. Not a big deal. The install was painless (done with one person). The slats are a little whimpy - we broke a couple when we flipped the mattress.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks Nice But Poorly Constructed The slat assembly on this bed is sub-standard in design and uses cheap plastic parts that break when the bed is disassembled for moving. Most properly made beds of this type use a series of wood slats connected by several strong nylon woven strips for durability and ease of assembly and dis-assembly.This bed, instead, uses individual pieces of thin wood with plastic clips to attach the wood to the frame, making the assembly time-consuming and the dis-assembly impossible as each clip breaks when you attempt to remove them from the frame. Worse still, CB2 doesn't carry the replacement parts and company representatives seem unable to order them nor provide an alternate remedy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this bed I think this bed was a great purchase. I love the shelf on the headboard. perfect for replacing the side tables that were needed with my previous bed. Seems sturdy, and well made. Looks modern and clean.Another piece from CB2 that always gets compliments from guests in my house. Highly recommended

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Affordable modern bed Bought this nearly a year ago and am still quite satisfied. We needed a bed frame that could stand up to cats (nothing fabric), low to the ground to accommodate our pillow-top mattress, and modern-looking. The headboard can do double duty as a shelf for stashing books, etc. Best of all was the price, as king-size beds can get expensive. One of the slats holding up the mattress snapped after we'd had it for about six months, but CB2 customer service was easy and quick and sent a replacement.
