Rated 1 out of 5 by from Three years later I bought this bed in July 2012 and despite it leaving a maddening, pillow-eating gap between the headboard and the mattress, we decided we loved the look and would keep it for our bedroom. It was great...at first.Within the first year, our mattress developed deep furrows where each of us slept. We chalked this up to an old mattress, and got a new one.It became clear quickly that the problem was not the mattress (which we rotated frequently), but that the wooden slats are not supportive enough to keep the mattress even. The metal support in the center of the mattress is much higher than the part of the mattress supported by the slats, and sleeping on the bed is uncomfortable. We could not figure out a solution with plywood boards either, as the metal support in the center makes it so the wood cannot be laid flat.We are now saving up for a new bed frame because this one is making us restless and achey. I do not recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple but great bedframe! Have had this frame for almost a year and still happy with it. Delivery and assembly went fast and smooth. At first I thought I'd have to put some sort of plywood down over the slats so my foam mattress wouldn't sag through. Thankfully haven't had to worry about that. The first couple of days I would hear the wood slats creak but as they settled in place no longer hear it. Love the shelf in the headboard, makes for a great spot for a small lamp, clock, or resting your phone to charge. Would definitely recommend this frame to anyone looking for a simple low profile bed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful bed, lots of utility. Creaks I bought this bed a little over a year ago. I love the look and the construction quality is high. My chief complaint about this product is the creaking metallic noise made when someone like myself (6'5'' 225) shifts their weight. I've tried tightening the hardware, but it doesn't seem to help much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bed EVER!! This is the most wonderful bed I have ever owned! Absolutely stunning style with a modern, industrial vibe. Very sturdy, does not require a box spring or support board - supports are built in!I have gotten so many compliments on this bed, and now my bedroom is definitely the coolest room in the house! I would definitely recommend this purchase for any style conscious consumer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the style, but more support needed Purchased this bed in king size, about two years ago. I love the bed's design, it is sleek and modern, and looks great in a room. Really like the headboard/nightstand feature. Our concern is with the wooden ribs supporting the bed may not be strong enough or supportive for a king mattress. There are starting to get low points on the mattress, needing more frequent mattress rotation. May be needing to replace some of the wooden ribs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful but low This is a sleek modern bed that is beautiful and comparatively well priced. One issue is that it is very low, so be mindful of this when selecting a mattress. The slat system supporting mattress has a lot of flex, so doesn't offer tremendous support for the mattress if you like your bed firm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great design! Very comfortable! We bought this bed a few months ago and love it! It fits perfectly with our place, the height off of the ground is perfect, and the sleek design is the best.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poorly designed My wife and I bought a king size version of this bed. It is very poorly designed. There is a metal bar that runs in the middle of the frame and wood slats that hook into the bar on each side. The first problem with the design is that you can feel the metal bar if you sleep in the middle of the bed, which is very uncomfortable. The second design problem is that the wooden slats lose their elasticity and are uneven so the mattress sags in various locations making it very uncomfortable to sleep on. We have asked CB2 send replacement wood slats on multiple occasions, but it still does not fix the problem. I would highly recommend that you purchase a different bed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fab teen boys bed upgraded two teenage boys from tween to adult with these beds. Love the style -modern and industrial cool that blends well with previous wood pieces. Headboard shelf is genius! They have reading lights and phone chargers and alarms on them.I got Eco friendly latex mattresses and steel bunkie boards on eBay which make the mattress height perfect. Have no issues with loosing pillows in headboard. The frame is really sturdy the slats are held in place individually on the frame. The bunkie boards give an extra support, not that the bed needed it, but previous platform bed slats were flimsy and slid around, so I was being proactive.Delivery and set up were hassle free.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One tiny flaw but otherwise awesome I've had this bed for a year now and love it. The only tiny flaw (and others have mentioned this) is that the pillows do fall through the gap between the headboard and the base. I've kind of solved it by storing my summer / winter duvet here but it looks a bit messy... but all in all it's still a great bed and no regret on buying it

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well Designed Bought this bed two years ago and moved it twice. Very happy with the quality and it breaks down easily to move into small apartments with tight elevators.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tween/teen bed We bought this bed for our 10 year old son and he loves it. I love that it looks great and the ledge on top is awesome for books, a lamp, etc.My only issue is that we bought our mattress from another company, and got the 11" height queen size, based on what was recommended to go with this bed on the CB2 website, and it's not high enough. There's a 2-3" gap between the bottom of the headboard and the top of the mattress so his pillows are constantly 'falling through the crack'. It could have easily been avoided had we ordered a 13" high mattress. In my opinion, the 11" high recommendation should be changed to be higher mattress in order to avoid a lot of frustration.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, but... I like the look and the bed frame is sturdy, but the wooden slats (balsa) are flimsy and tend to bend and break so you end up sleeping in a big rut. I'm planning to replace with real wood.
