swing arm black wall sconce is rated 4.0625 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's fine, not mind blowing I bought this about a month ago to light up a work station. The simple design and swing arm are great for my space both practically and aesthetically. However, the screws that came with the installation kit were soooo tiny, I was unable to install them with a regular screwdriver. I think you'd probably need to pre-drill holes and then use an eyeglass or computer repair kit to fit the philip's head grooves. The screws were also too long for my purposes (I was screwing onto the side of a bookcase instead of into a wall) so I just used my own screws. It's fine, but the final look isn't as polished as the image since I can't use the screw caps designed for the ends of those teeny tiny screws. The sconce also came with a lightbulb, which was great, but not one that would look good installed at all- just a regular CFL. Don't forget to buy your own special bulb for this product before you go home!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Limited range of motion! I wish this information had been available before I had asked for this lamp as a gift. The design and look of it was nice enough that I disposed of the packaging and receipts before really testing and discovering how unfunctional it's swinging abilities are... Mine will not even swing to a 45 degree angle, which actually makes this lamp awkward because the sconce is so long. To avoid it you must *really* avoid it bc the arm protrudes like 2 feet away from the wall, so it's not even really fair to call it a "swing" lamp. My original plans for this light were to use beside my bed, and push away flush with the wall when not in use.If anyone has tips on how to loosen the hinge, I would appreciate it. I'm going to try oiling it, but it feels like there is some kind of lock in there where it won't help. This lamp would have been perfect, but this flaw makes it very awkward and disappointing for the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from swing arm wall sconce I bought this wall sconce three weeks ago - it was delivered fast , packaging was very minimal and it was very simple to start installing right away . I'm not a big fan of the bulb included in the deal , so I'll be going back to store for the globe bulb and as the other viewers mentioned it is a bit too bright and swivel is definitely limited ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great modern look to brighten any room. Purchased in a pair, this light can add just the right amount of light to a room that doesn't have any windows, or one that just needs a little more. It comes with 60W CFLs, which is not mentioned, which are really too bright and make it look unfinished. Definitely add one of the globe bulbs or, for more flair and style, the spiral filament bulbs. They look awesome and give a more-appropriate amount of light when you have two of them. Make sure to use proper tools when installing to ensure you don't round out the screws. The swivel feature is nice as well because you can move the light and make sure they don't get in your way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great option as a table/floor lamp sub I bought this about a month ago. It takes a little bit to install (you can just plug it in and turn it on- you have to mount it to the wall), but is worth it. The swinging arm is fun and functional. The outer coating is nice and less likely to wear. I use it as a side lamp in my front room, but would be just as cool to double up on the sides of a bed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Industrial Chic Gem! Bought two of these sconces for delivery about a month ago and have been seriously impressed with the quality and look of them in our bedroom! The finish is resilient and the swing feature makes them customizable over the bed for reading. You do need though to refit the light bulbs they come with -- highly recommend the edison-style round bulbs to complete the look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect in so many ways Saw it at the store, looked around many stores... nothing matched the look and personality this little lamp has. Had to get it and looks great in my living room! great buy! $ is great on this too!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cool design but hard to install headless screws I ended up hammering them into the studs (fortunately) ...it should be replaced with Allen wrench screws. The swivel is too limited so can't put it out of the way (closer to wall) when not in use. Also, light eventually gets too bright right next to your head & creates a bright lite spot in your peripheral Vision. Not sure why I'm keeping it except that I needed a lamp and this one is different than standard & it's stuck to my wall now!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handsome sconces The good: easy mounting, attractive pieces that will complement most decor, thoughtful design of the chord makes it more attractive if it exposedThe not-so-good: range of motion on the swing of the arm, length of the arm (we are using in place of bedside lamps) is so long that it protrudes in a way that we need to dodge it to avoid hitting our heads bc it doesn't swing far enough to either side to be out of the way

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Swing Arm Sconce I love this wall lamp. A lot of other reviewers seem to take issues with the installation. Specifically the size of the screwheads. True they are a bit unusual in size, but with a properly sized screwdriver or drill bit and some care the instillation should be fine. If you've ever hung something on your wall in the past I wouldn't let any questions about the installation scare you away from this awesome lamp

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product for that price I love the fixture! I used it for an office in their break-room with CB2 vintage filament 60W bulb and it looks great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Statement Piece! I bought two of these fixtures and placed them as wall sconces on either side of my sofa over matching tables. They look amazing! They add interest to the room without being too bulky. I also used Edison bulbs in lieu of the bulbs they came with and that adds a bit of warmth to the look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Style substance and a small foot print These lamps are perfect for our small room. We have bedside light without having to have end tables, and they look gorgeous. The installation guide needs to be updated; lucky I'm handy, so I had no issues:1) remove the light, screw in the bulb and plug in to test. Okay!2) Use a drill to make holes for the anchors to fit inside (the plastic rod shape things the screws go inside) The drill bit should be 75% the width of the screw, so the whole is snug but not too big.3) Purchase a "00" screw driver! That's the size required for installation. Screw the light into the wall where the four anchors were positioned.4) put on the black screw caps. -done!Tip: trace the mounting part of the light with a pencil and trace the holes onto a piece of paper. This can be used to position where the light will go. -much lighter!CB2 these screws are hard for the average bear to work with and may want to consider giving the customer a few extras.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Impossible to use the screws provided - major flaw I bought 2 of the lights - as they have great functional style. However, the screws that are required are absolutely useless. Unfortunately the teeny, tiny screw heads are soft and strip almost immediately when trying to screw them into the wall. Very sad, as I love the light fixture. A design improvement needs to be made here - use larger screw heads and larger finishing caps. I will be returning these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great reading lamp for my couch I bought this light to be installed above my couch and it was incredibly easy to install. I also bought a low wattage filament bulb so I could get a warm yellow glow for reading. The matte black finish also looks awesome.
