overview

gold gammon. The Boa Sorte Backgammon Game Set was created exclusively for CB2 in partnership with husband-and-wife design duo Robert and Cortney Novogratz. Their Brasil Collection is inspired by their Brasilian home and travels—from the colors, culture and food to the amazing people they have seen and met along the way. "Our time in Brasil is all about spending quality time with our family and close friends, and one of our favorite things to do is play games like chess and backgammon," Robert says. "We've always had a hard time finding nice-looking sets that we can leave out on the coffee table for our guests and kids to play with." Translating to good luck in Portuguese, Boa Sorte travels in style from poolside to sofaside in a rose gold faux leather case. Bright yellow and blue triangles point to a bold take on the classic backgammon board. Game includes two matching dice cups, five dice and 30 solid wood checkers. boa sorte backgammon game set is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful This game is very pretty and nice quality. The pieces slide around a little on the board but it's not too bad. Functional, but looks nice enough to be a decorative piece. The pop of color is perfect and the soft rosegold outside is prettier in person than in the pictures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great item Bought this in sale for $39.99.  It's great.  The 3.previous reviewers are not appreciating this for what it is- a game "board" not an heirloom.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy this. I was super excited to get this as it was on my Christmas list. I ended up getting 2 and will be taking both back. They are extremely poorly made. One set is curving already and the little shaker boxes are already falling apart and I haven't even played it yet. The dice don't match and the materials are not quality by any means. Do yourself a favor and save 60$

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not impressed, but will keep Set just arrived. I was really excited about it because I really liked the design and color scheme. It's very different from traditional sets, however, I am not impressed with the choice of materials. The round pieces need to be heavier so they don't just slide off your fingers when you move them. The box itself is poorly put together. There are some spaces between the edge of the paneling and box wall (very weird). Not a fan of the exterior shiny/metallic material. I have a feeling it will start to peel off in time.I will keep it for now, but I will like to purchase a set of higher quality in the near future. Design is great, but sadly that's not enough.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing Backgammon Set I love the Novogratz line and CB2's products and when I saw this Backgammon set I thought it would be a great addition to my game collection. Sadly, I am returning it. The rose gold covering looked warn in all over, not as it appears on the site. The board looked cheap and its construction looked flimsy. I am giving this product two stars only because I like the color scheme, otherwise it would have received one. Just a suggestion: Because this piece was from the Brazil Collection, maybe it would have been better if this backgammon set was manufactured in Brazil--creating jobs and fostering craftsmanship.
